The teacher, Mr. Wells, sent her to the corner because she didn't answer his question. The students laughed as she walked over and sat. Miranda sat down in the corner, crying. But no one heard. She didn't even hear. It was so quite, perhaps not even a sound. She was only aware of her crying because of the tears. She wanted to tell someone. But it was as if someone slit her vocal cords, stitched her mouth shut. She was mute. Miranda wouldn't try and draw attention to it, it just happened.

Miranda watched her teacher. After about ten minutes he turned to her. "Miranda! Get up here and do the equation. Then explain your answer". Miranda slowly stood up, her legs trembling. Her breath caught in her throat. Miranda slowly walked up to the board. She picked up the chalk and started to work out the equation. She finally stood back examining her work. When she looked at the stick of chalk she saw the sharp point. Slowly she set it down. Mr. wells stared in disgust at the chalkboard. "Wrong". Miranda's mouth fell agape. She knew this question was right. She knew.

Miranda tried to say something but couldn't. She looked at the chalk and grabbed it off the chalkboards ledge. Miranda lunged at her teacher. Forcing the chalky substance into his throat. Blood poured out of the fresh wound, screams filled the room. Miranda quickly locked the door. students were running trying to find some way out of the room. Miranda started to dig into the teachers desk.

Slowly she brought up a match box to the front of her face. Smiling she took one out and lit it. She lit her math book on fire and threw to the group of students. She looked back over at her teacher. She bent down, relishing in the screaming coming from her peers. She pulled the chalk out and wrote on the board. She unlocked the door, slipped out and locked it. Miranda sat outside of the door, rocking back and forth. The principal looked at her in horror. Miranda looked at her covered in blood. She brought her finger up. Smiling.

The sheriff laughed at the terrified rookies. "She wrote SHH on the chalkboard". One of the rookies raised his hand. "Yes Ronnie"? "When was this"? The sheriff frowned. "1991". "So where is she know". The sheriff looked at the group terrified. He paled. "Behind you"! They turned laughing. But quickly froze in terror. There stood a girl covered in blood. She had her finger to her mouth. And behind her 'SHH' was painted on the wall with blood.
