chapter 1:forgive,forget

As I sat on the top of my pa's shack,I looked to the horizon wondering what was past my ma and pa's old farm. I crossed my legs as the wind blew a strand of my black hair onto my cheek,I looked down to see pa he looked at me and waved, as ma opened the screen door and yelled "the potatoes arn't gettin peeled any faster violet!"I nodded and climed onto my pa's truck and jumped down,running into my house I noticed a big cloud swirling into a funnel. Once I got inside I poked my mother ,pointing to the window I told her"those clouds are swirling it looks like a tornado is coming" she nodded looking out the widow "it sure does violet,go get pa and bring him on inside" I opened.the door and ran out near the shack to see pa working on the rim of a broken tire,I poked him hard,he looked at me with a stern stare I gulped sweating,"pa,ma says that you better come inside" he nodded silently getting up and walking inside,I ran inside behind him .

That afternoon I sat on the truck watching the sunset as a fox came up and nudged me I looked at it,shocked I let it sniff me.
It licked me in joy ,I looked at the clouds then back at the- the fox dissapered ,I looked around the truck in wonder of where the fox could be? I looked up to see a boy his hair stuck up and he had hazle nut eyes. Scared,I jumped he chuckled "what's with the face?" I looked at him ,my face pale "who are you" he bowed "im Carson ford"
My heart skipped as my eyes caught his in a glance .
