Foreword:
This story was written after inspiration from the life of famed writer, Leopold von Masoch. After many years of seeing various stories written about the life of the Marquis de Sade I felt there needed to be a new take on the life of Leopold. With that in mind I began researching on the various writings of Leopold, and came up with this idea for AELR. (The Age of Enlightenment: the Libertine Revolution acronym. This is pronounced A-Lurr)
The creation of Kaira Faire von Masoch was one of the best character ideas I had ever come up with, and to date I feel that she is one of my favorite heroines. I was highly inspired by the look of a few classy, sophisticated women, which are Elizabeth Taylor, Vivien Leigh, Ava Gardner, Dita von Teese, and Idda van Munster when creating Kaira. I really see her with a look very similar to these ladies.
In bringing Kaira to life on the page I can only hope that others will enjoy her personality as much as I enjoyed writing it out.
With that being said please enjoy:
The Sadist’s Touch,
Book One of the Age of Enlightenment Story.

Chapter One: An Exciting Change
It was a beautiful early spring day Kaira and Mirah had spent the past evening packing various dresses, and items into trunks for the purpose of their long trip. Going to school in Switzerland had been something that Kaira enjoyed, but now that her time away had come to an end she could scarcely contain her excitement. Mirah, and Kaira had met at school, and quickly became best friends. The two young women had enjoyed their time there, and it seemed that this last week had caused a deep excitement to form within them both.
