Zelena's Deal

Chapter 1

  Long ago before Emma Swan, in the enchanted forest Zelena was an evil force. She couldn't be stopped. Everyday causing more chaos. One day she went to a small farm.

  "Hello. Can I help you?" Said a young handsome man who was working in a small animal pen.

  "Uh..." Zelena was stunned. She instantly had a crush on him. What could she do?

  "Hello?" He asked again.

  "I don't know where I am, can you direct me to the nearest town?" Said Zelena, fooling the young man.

  "Yeah. The next town is just over that hill." He said pointing to a kelly green hill.

  "Thank You..?"

  "Tom." He said finally introducing himself to her.

  "Zelena" she said back to him.

  Zelena followed his directions and moved to the next town. She visited him daily. They became very good friends. On Zelenas birthday he gave her something very special. An emerald ring. He presented it by kneeling down on one knee and asking "Will you marry me?" Of course she said yes. During all this time while they were dating Hades, God of the under world was watching them. He also liked Zelena and he became envious of Tom. Days after the proposal Hades killed him. It left Zelena heart broken. After his death Hades took human form.

  "Ma'am, why are you crying?" He asked as he " accidentally " bumped into her.

  "Oh you wouldn't understand.." She said through her deep gasps for air.

  "Oh I might." He said.

  "My fiancé died six days ago"

  "I have experience with loss too"

  "Really?" She asked as if she had just seen a gleam of hope.

  "Yes. If there's some place we can talk I'd be happy to."

  She led him to her cottage. They talked for hours on end. He sat there consoling her. Soon they became very close friends just as her and Tom. After being friends for many years Hades revealed his secret.

  "You, you are...?" She asked while her mind was wrapping around the fact that he was the God of death. All the sudden the memories of Tom came rushing back. "Did you kill him?" She asked as tears gushed out of her eyes.

  " um.. " he hesitated. He was scared that if she knew the truth that he would never marry her.

  "You did!" She screamed when she threw a book at him."I can't believe you! He was my true love"

  "Zelena I'm sorry. I promise I can offer you a deal." Zelena quickly stopped screaming at him.

  "A deal?" She asked calmly as yet another tear fell down her face. Hades moved closer to his love to wipe away her tear.

  "Yes, a deal. If you can get me the Wand of The Darkest Magic I promise to give Tom life again.

  "Where can I find this wand?" As Zelena said this it broke Hades heart. He really didn't want to answer that question but he wanted to do everything to make his love happy.

  "You can find it in Medusas cave."

  It was a nine day journey from Zelenas cottage. Zelena made the trip alone. On Zelenas eighth night she met a man named Al. Al was also heading up to Medusas cave to. He was sent on a mission to cut off the gorgons head. The next morning the two headed to her cave together. They entered the cave together.

  "You go on one side and I will go on the other" that was Als plan. " we can defeat her together." They headed in. The gorgon quickly realized she had intruders. She made her way to the front of the cave and headed in Als direction. When Zelena saw that she waved he hand to send the gorgon flying into the back of the cave.

  "Wow! How did you do that?" Zelena ignored him because she didn't want to scare him off by telling him she's a witch.

  "Come on! Let's go kill this thing." Al quickly joined along to get to the back of the cave. The two had to hide each time Medusa came around searching for them. Zelena spotted the wand. She wouldn't have much time to grab it but she had to take the risk if she ever wanted to see Tom again. She took the risk and hopped out from behind the pillar she was hiding behind and grabbed the wand from the giant stone that kept it in place. Right when she grabbed it she felt as if everything had changed. She was different.

"Was that what you came here for?!" Al sounded astonished "You risked your life for a piece of wood!" Al was screaming at her. Medusa was on her was back and Zelena knew it.

"Al, we have to go. She's coming." But before Zelena could say anymore Al was stone and soon so would Zelena be if she didn't run.

She made it out just barely escaping Medusas grasp. Zelena made her nine day journey back to her home over the kelly green hill and gave Hades the wand.

"Zelena, are you sure you want to do this?" Hades asked with a doubtful heart.

"Yes" she responded confidently. With one wave of his hand Hades made Tom appear right beside him. Zelena ran and gave him a giant hug.

"I have missed you so much" was all she could manage to say through her sobs.

"I love you." He said as if he wanted to announce it to the whole world.

Hades walked away from the scene. That was what had broken his heart and that was the only day in his life he ever felt something.
