•°• Reader's POV •°•

I sat with an unimpressed look on my face as I watched (B/F/N) jumping and trying to grab her dagger, which was stuck fairly high up in the bark of the tree she was slashing at. How she managed to get it up there, don't ask.

I snickered as she fell on her back with a grunt, groaning as she writhing around in pain of the air bieng knocked out of her lungs.

"Ooh, nice try." I sneered at her in a mocking tone.

"Shut up, (Y/N)." She wheezed, trying to catch her breath.

I smirked to myself as I watched her get back on her feet and leap up and grab the air in an attempt to catch the dagger, only to fall to the ground with a thump.

"Bet that hurt." I commented, lying down and crossing my paws.

She let out a huff, "Could you help me out here?"

"I can't make you more athletic, if that's what you're asking." A taunting smirk grew upon my face.

She rolled her (F/E/C) eyes and said, "I meant, could you please fly up there and grab it for me?"

I put my head in my paws and closed my (E/C) eyes.

"Nah, i like it here."

She sighed, "Fine, be that way. thanks for nothing," she said, muttering "You useless reptile." under her breath, and with that she stalked off elsewhere.

I opened one eye, guilt burning in the pit of my stomach. I raised my head from my paws and gazed in the direction she stormed off in, my (E/C) eyes shimmering as the guilt I felt seeped through my eyes.

looking up at the tree, I spotted the stuck dagger (B/F/N) was trying so hard to reach not five minutes ago. And when she asked for my help, I continued my teasing. She wanted my help and I didn't give it to her. Some best friend I am.

My (S/C) ears slumping against my head, a sorrowful coo escaping my mouth.

Before long, my (E/C) eyes brightening with realization.

There's always a chance to make it right.

I sread my (S/C) wings and beat beat them afew times, causing my body to rise from the ground steadily.

With every beat of my strong wings, I drew nearer to the blade, until I was finally high enough.

Gently clamping my gums around the wood carved handle, I freed the blade with a swift jerk of my head and allowed my body to lower to the ground, my paws eventually meeting the plush grass.

With the handle still held firmly in my jaws, I paced through the forest, my eyes scanning the area in search of (B/F/N).

After a while of searching, I was about to head back to Berk, thinking she may have went home when I spotted her sitting criss cross on a rock with her back to me, her shining (F/H/C), assuming it was her journal sitting in her lap when my ears picked up the soft sound of a charcoal pencil stroking paper delicately.

I wondered what she was sketching but pushed it aside as I bowed my head and anxiously crept toward her soundlessly.

Now right behind her, I nudged the small of her back with my snout, causing her to lightly gasp and spin to look at me.

Her (F/E/C) eyes widened slightly at the sight of me and I withdrew slightly under her unreadable gaze.

After afew lond seconds of unnerving silence I gently set the dagger down and nudged it toward her lightly.

A smile graced her face and she set her journal down and slipped off the rock to kneel in front of me.

I focused my (E/C) orbs intently on the grass, guilt hindering me to gather the courage to dare look up at her.

"(Y/N), look at me." (B/F/N) said softly.

I shook my head in abnegation, my head still bowed.

"Why not?" She inquired, concern lacing her voice.

"Because, Imma bad dragon. I wouldn't help you with something that was simple for me, and woundn't take more than ten seconds. I'm sorry." I said, letting out a whimper at the last part.

(B/F/N) grabbed my head inher hands gently and made me look at her, her (F/E/C) eyes gentle as she said, "(Y/N), you aren't a bad dragon. If anything you're the best dragon. You were messing around, so what, you do it all the time. It's one of the things I love most about you. And envy. No matter the situation, you always manage to think of something to say or do to lighten the mood. You make me and everyone around you smile. Now all that's left is you. Let's see that smile." She encouraged.

I couldn't help it as the corners of my mouth lifted upward in an attempt at a smile, which was adorable.

(B/F/N) giggled and wrapped her arms around my neck in a hug, in which i responded my wrapping my (S/C) wings around her form.

"Thank you for being in my life, (Y/N)." (B/F/N) said into my scaly chest.

"Thank you for being mine." I purred, pulling her closer.

(A/N: I hope you guys like it. Please send requests. I will do my very best to get them done. thanks. tootles.)
