Chapter 2

It

I trudged through the forest with the bundle of sticks in my arms. Snow gentaly fluttered from the sky and upon the ground, building up to about 7 inches of snow. The sticks I had collected will be my fire wood- it gets cold back at the shack, even though the cold does not bother me- it will be nice to eat a warm meal. I smiled warmly to myself. Today as I was out I had heard the villigars singing. A very catchy tune, stuck in my head now. But it was a nice tune. I hummed quietly as I trudged on through the woods.

I stepped through the brush, seeing my home in the distance. This was also when I saw them waiting for me. They his behind trees, wepons in their hands. I stopped in my tracks, and slowly backed away and ducked behind some shrubs. I set the firewood down quietly. The villagers were here again.

I will be honest when say this- I do not hate the villigars. They are not evil. They are a nice compassionet group of people, who care for one another. None of these feelings are regarded torward me though. Because of this I prefer just to watch them, happily. I would much rather watch love from the shadows than try to achive it myself, it would be very difficult for someone like me. This seems to creep out the villigars as they worry about my strengths so time and again, they try to run me out of my home. I do not hold it against, for each time and again they fail. The only thing they succeed at is often breaking my sainity to the point of panic attacks- but that's different.

I thought of my plan, same as usual. I got up and casuly walked into their trap. To or three humasn ran out with weapons trying to attack me. Two of them used shovles, one of them used a rake. I quickly dodged all of their monuvers and tripped them into falling over them selves. 5 or so humans ran out with some torches. I knocked the fire out of all their hands and tripped them as well. None of the humans I tripped were hurt, they just were too corwardly to get up. A human lifted it's head from behind a bush and started stuttering things about failure, bets, money, taverns, and destruction. I ignored it. I turned around and began picking up all 8 humans, and started heading torward the village. I hummed again to myself, but seirsouly and less uplifting. I dropped off the bodies on the ground at the egde of town and swiftly walked back into the woods.

A distance away from town, I buckled my knees sat in the snow. I've put up with this for so long now, but they still don't trust me. I started to shrivel up and cry into my hands. Everything went completely silent for a moment. But then I could swear I heard a hum, of like a glow. I looked up and saw a glow so extremely bright walk up to me, bend down and stare me straight in the eyes. She had the body form of a women, though I knew she was not human. My face felt so tingley from the energy and heat that radiated off from her. She put a finger to my lips and shushed me gently. "Don't cry," she said. "I'm here to make it better." I sniffled and wiped my eyes. "Who are you?" I asked. "I'm your guardian angle," she said standing up and grasping my hand to pull me to my  feet. "Now tell me," she said. "What troubles you?"

"Nobody here apreacaits me, they just fear and try to kill me. I defied my instincs for the past 200 years. I even took this form to please them, make them more at ease," I said looking down at my little human girl body.

"Why don't you relax," My angle said gentaly. "It must be tiring to keep up the magic made to have that form, you can relax." I sighed and changed back to my real form. I looked up at my Angle, she did not at all seem disturbed by my viscous appearence.

My appearence, a monster.

My appearence,  powerful.

My appearence, demon like.

Bent down and petted me like you would a dog. My appearence is very close to wolf like, but like one that has been dead for a weak, mutated by radioaction, and shot a bunch of times. I have been shot at alot.

"You," she said. "have won the favor of the spirits. I can give you one wish."

I looked up happily. "I wish I was appreciated." I said without even thinking of the consequences.

She smiled. "Your wish is granted."

Though she said it in the kindness way, I felt a shiver go through my back. In a flinch of panic my form shifted back into the girl. "What are you going to do?" I asked.

A ringing began in my ears. Everything started getting very bright. "Be calm," she said. "I am transporting you to a land where your image is not tarnished. And I shall change your being."

"My being? What does that mean?" She answered but the ringing got so loud I couldn't hear. The light shined so bright I passed out.
