6-year-old Lily watched her father grab his suitcase and drop it by the door.
He drops his suitcase by the door.
Her heart ached by the sight watching him roughly grab his jacket and slung it over his shoulder.
She knows her daddy won't be back anymore.
Her parents were fighting again for the tenth time this week, and this time the fight was worse than the others. She woke up by the sound of something crashing.
She drags her feet across the floor.
"HARRY JAMES POTTER! YOU INSENSITIVE BLOODY GIT!" Her mother's scream woke her up at 3 am. But it was only her. Albus and James were still sleeping soundly in their rooms.
"Give it a rest, Ginerva!" She heard her daddy's sharp voice tell her mother, and Ginny responded with something a six-year-old girl should never hear from her mother.
She went carefully downstairs and saw her parents fighting and screaming at each other in the middle of the living room of Potter Manor. She was surprised that her brothers hadn't woken up yet by all the sounds. Being as quietly as possible she went into the kitchen and hid behind the doorframe that faced the main door to the house.
Tryin' to hold back time, to keep him holdin' on
"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!" Her mother's constant screaming continued at her loving daddy.
Why where are they fighting?
They have never fought this way before, and it always ended with them saying 'I love you' to each other.
Little Lily was confused.
"I said give it a rest!" Her daddy finally snapped, and Ginny already being furious let out a scream and picked up the closest thing to her - a vase - and aimed it at Harry.
With his old seeker reflexes, he ducked just in time as her mother stormed upstairs and the slamming of a door echoed through the house.
She couldn't help it, a small gasp escaped her lips attracting Harry to the sound.
He turned around to see his baby angel standing in the doorway of the kitchen, clutching her stuffed black dog: Padfoot.
"What are you doing up, angel?" He asked her softly bending down to her height.
"A-a-are you leaving?" She sniffed slightly, her brown eyes filling up with tears.
"Yes I am, angel" He replied softly, his own green eyes glassy with emotion.
"When are you coming back?" She whispered. Harry put his jacket by the suitcase and looked his only and youngest daughter in the eyes.
"I'm not coming back, flower." He said in a regretful tone and tried not to choke on his own words.
And she says, "Daddy, Daddy, don't leave
I'll do anything to keep you
Right here with me"NO DADDY! I NEED YOU!" Lily cried tearfully and lunged at him. Harry caught her in his strong arms.
Can't you see how much I need you??
"I'm so sorry..." He whispered in her head, tears of his forming in his eyes. His heart broke in a million pieces of leaving his baby girl and two sons behind.
Daddy, Daddy, don't leave,
Mommy's sayin' things she don't mean,
She don't know what she's talkin' about.
Somebody hear me out?
