Joey—

To say I was furious, was an understatement. I was more than that. Charlotte went through something that shouldn't happen, to anyone, ever. And the fact that she couldn't charge him for harassment made me even more furious.

I was just happy that nothing serious would happen.

I looked down to her, seeing her sleeping peacefully. After picking her up, I called the guys and told them I wasn't coming back for the day, and brought Charlotte to my place. I just felt that Charlotte should be able to have time to herself, instead of being questioned by her family.

Charlotte was my absolute everything, and it makes me furious that someone could harass her, and not even get investigated. It made me wonder what happened to society. Why weren't woman treated with the respect they deserve? As a normal human being with feelings and rights?

"Joey?" Charlotte mumbled.

"Yeah, angel?" I asked, looking down to her.

"Do you still love me?"

My heart broke, it felt like I was stabbed.

"Of course, baby. Why wouldn't I love you?" I replied.

She shrugged, "I dunno. It feels like I basically cheated."

"Angel, don't worry about it. I still love you with everything I have. Okay? What he did, it doesn't matter. He didn't seriously hurt you, so I'm not worried about it."

Charlotte sighed and moved, straddling my lap. She laid her head on my shoulder and relaxed her body.

"I love you." She whispered.

"I love you too, Char."

"Hey, Joey?" She mumbled.

"Yeah, angel?" I asked.

She sat up, not meeting my gaze like she normally would. She brought her hands to my chest, playing with the collar on my shirt.

"I wanna give myself too you." She muttered.

"What?" I questioned.

She smiled slightly, still not meeting my eyes. "I'm ready, and I want you. Just you."

"Charlotte, I love you, but no." I shook my head, "This isn't the right moment. What happened with waiting until we were married?"

She sat back, and laid her hands in her lap, playing with them.

She shrugged, "I dunno. I don't want another man touching me when it's meant to be romantic. You're the only man I want to love, and love me back."

"Charlotte Mae, I can't guarantee that I'll be the best husband or anything, but I'll love you to the best of my abilities. I don't want you because of your figure, I don't want you for sex or anything like that." I smiled, "I want you because of your love for God, and your heart. That's why I love you."

She leaned forward, placing her face in the crook of my neck. I smiled, leaning my head against hers and wrapping my arms around her waist.

"Thank you." She sighed.

"I love you so much, angel."

"I love you too."

I watched as Charlotte straightened her hair. I wanted to confront Brayden, and Charlotte was hesitant, but agreed as long as I went. Sadly, Sophia was going to be there.

Charlotte smiled at her appearance, running her fingers through her hair.

"You look amazing, angel." I smiled.

"Thank you." She mumbled.

I stood up, walking behind her. I took her hand, and brought it over her head, twirling her to face me.

"Hello, gorgeous." I whispered.

She giggled, kissing my cheek. She smirked, "Hello handsome."

"I'm so glad that I'm marrying you. I can't wait until you're my wife." I grinned.

"Joseph," she mumbled, wrapping her arms around my neck. I just simply smiled, gently laying my hands on her waist. "We don't have to have a giant wedding. We could go to a courthouse and I'd be happy. I just want you, forever."

"My sweet angel, I want you to have the wedding of your dreams. I want you buying that white dress you've always dreamed of, and everything." I stated.

She laughed, shaking her head. She pulled herself forward, tightening her grip slightly as she hugged me.

"We've got to stop being so sappy and cheesy." She muttered.

"I love being sappy with you," I laughed, "I love showing you how much I love you. With all my heart."

Charlotte tightened her grip on my hand as Sophia and Brayden approached us. He smirked at Charlotte, eyeing her body.

Sophia smiled, "It's so nice to see you two again."

"Can't say the same." Charlotte muttered.

"Come on, sexy. Don't be sour." Brayden grinned.

"Please don't call my fiancée that." I glared.

"We–uh, actually came here to talk about something." Charlotte sighed.

Sophia nodded, laying her free hand on her stomach. "Go ahead."

"For one, Sophia; please stop flirting with me. I'll be friends, but I don't have the same feelings I did in high school." I stated.

"Joey, I can't do this." Charlotte mumbled.

"And Brayden, I don't really appreciate you touching Charlotte. If she said no, then she said no. You did not have the right to lay your hands on her."

Sophia looked up to Brayden, "What is Joey talking about?"

Brayden scoffed, "I thought we were in an open relationship. I don't like being held down to one chick."

"Then why'd you propose?" She questioned.

"'Cause of that stupid baby of ours." He exclaimed.

Sophia gasped, her mouth agape. "Then leave. I'll raise the baby on my own." She spat.

"Fine. B*tch," he muttered, walking away. Sophia watched as tears streamed down her cheeks, and Brayden took the car and drove off.

Sophia covered her mouth as sobs left her mouth. Charlotte sighed, and let go of my hand and offered support to Sophia. Charlotte let Sophia hug her, and cry into her shoulder.

"Hey," Charlotte whispered, "He isn't worth it. Come on, let's go to lunch or something."

Sophia nodded, and wiped her tears. "I don't have any money. Brayden was supporting me."

I smiled, "Don't worry about it. It's on me."

"Thank you." She mumbled.
