-Chapter 11-
My blood curtailing scream ripped through the air. I squeezed my eyes shut as a hand covered my mouth.
"Shhh! Your neighbors will hear you! Then we're both screwed!" He whispered loudly.
I immediately shut up, afraid that he would hurt me if I didn't.
"I'm going to let go. Are you gunna scream?" He asked me solemnly. I peeked open my eyes to meet his bright green ones.
I shook my head, and blinked at him. He took his hand off of my mouth and I let out a giant breath I hadn't known I'd been holding in.
Laying on the ground, I tried to take all of that in. It all adds up now.
His eyes....
They way he acts around blood...
How strong he is...
His controlling ability...
It all adds up. How could I have missed this? And all the while, he kept his secret, not telling anybody.
This just made me angry. I was mad that he didn't tell me, I was mad that he did tell me. I was just plain mad.
While I was thinking, I noticed that Harry had switched to a calm sitting position, resting his weight on his hands. He was leaning back on them, and had his legs crossed.
I sat up quickly, getting light headed immediately. Grabbing my head to try and stop the pounding, I glanced over to my left, where the knife was laying a few feet away.
Quickly looking away, trying not to give away my plan, I peered into Harry's eyes.
They were a magnificent green. Like a mix between emerald and evergreen green. They sparkled like stars, and were bordered with long, dark eyelashes.
He wasn't paying any attention to me, and was merely hanging his head onto his chest, and staring off into the unknown.
He started to talk to me quietly. "Look Hale... I know this must be a lot to take in. But your in danger, and I need to stay here to make sure you stay safe-" he was cut off my me dashing across the room, grabbing at the knife.
The knife cut my finger a little as I grabbed it, and blood started to well up. But I took no notice, only trying to get out of the house.
I slid on the hardwood floor, and hopped up to the window. There, I opened it quickly and jumped out onto the second story of my house.
Taking a quick glance back at Harry, I saw him with a surprised face. But I didn't see much, and then ran and jumped into the nearest bush.
I landed not so gracefully, and scratched my legs a bit. Buy I had only one thing on my mind..
Escape.
I quickly maneuvered out of the bushes, clutching the knife tightly to my chest.
This all happened in mear seconds, and I new that I might still have a chance to get away.
Pushing myself up and off of the grass lawn, I ran across the road to the edge of the dense forest in front of me.
I hesitated only a brief moment, but Once there, I ran straight into the dark abyss.
___________
The branches crunched and cracked under my shoes. I could hear birds calling out warnings to one another that there was something strange going on in the forest.
That strange being me trampling through the lush green plants, and scaring off tiny animals.
But at the moment, I didn't care. I just wanted to get away from that monster.
