I rush to Katelyn's car through the cold misty wind. I can't believe it's already February! I thought to myself.

"Hurry up! You don't want to be late!" My mom yelled from behind. I get into the car and buckle up as I turn the radio on in Katelyn's car.

After thirty to forty minutes, we arrive at the airport. Katelyn and I walk in and rush to Gate A. We wait. . .

I sit and listen to my music, twiddling my thumbs. I'm more nervous than ever. I keep thinking to myself that Kaii will not arrive and that I won't get to see him. Katelyn looks at me and puts her hand on my shoulder.

"It'll be ok, the plane is going to arrive soon," she said.

"Thanks. . . I just really want to see him right now," I reply.

I put my head down and suddenly, one of the workers announce that the flight from the UK has just arrived. I jump out of my seat and rush to the Gate door. I stand there in the middle of the doorway and watch people go by. I try finding Kaii in the crowd.

Five minutes have passed, and still no sign of Kaii. I see the flight attendant and one of the workers get closer to the door. They hold onto the door. I see what looks like the last person. It's not Kaii. They start to shut the door. I turn around and head back to the bench where Katelyn was sitting. Then I hear someone yelling from behind me.

"Hold the doors!" They yelled.

I didn't pay attention because I was too upset. Kaii didn't come. I kept walking towards Katelyn and was about to tell her to drive me back home.

"Max!" Someone yelled from behind in the same direction of the Gate.
