I wake up this morning in my room at Mt Justice. I hear the normal sound of Artemis screaming at Wally my older brother.
My name is Lily Sanderson the adopted sister of Wally West  and I am learning to take care of all the dimensions in the world.

I get shower,get dressed in my green, white, and yellow costume, and put on my glasses. I look in the mirror and see a pale fire head(red head) with one green and one purple eye, I am small for my age of 13 and I walk into the hall to smell what I think to be burnt pancakes.

I trudge to the kitchen occupied with a arguing Wally and Artemis. I put 2 pancakes on my plate and drench them in maple syrup. I slowly cut and eat them when Wally and Artemis finally notice my existence in the room and greet me with a embarrassed "hello". I smile in my head at the hopefully soon to be couple.

Everyone else slowly walks in with sleep still in their eyes. I finish up and head to the training room for extra practice. I start to beat the crap out of a dummy when someone says "What the poor thing ever do to you" my best friend Robin states. He wears a cocky grin like always and show a smirk before my face turns once again to stone showing no emotion. "I got bored" was my lame excuse and thankfully Robin either didn't notice or he let it slip. We start to spar with each other and neither one of us can get the upper hand. It might not help that we have trained together for 4 years and trained by the Batman himself.

We continue to fight until the zeta tubes announce the arrival of Batman, Black Canary, the Flash ,and Superman. The team all meets up in the mission room and wait for the debriefing to begin. Finally after what feels like forever  Batman finally comes in. "There has been a outbreak of Arkham Asylum and you will hunt down the Joker and find were he is hiding. Do not ingage unless absolutely necessary. Robin and Soaring will fill the rest of you in on the way. Dismissed." Great,just great I think to myself.

We head to the ship and Robin starts talking "The Joker is a insane clown maniac and is probably one of the most dangerous villains you will ever face. He is ruthless and will show no mercy. Do not try and pick a fight with him." He finishes and looks at me with pleading eyes. I sigh and pull up my shirt to revel my scared stomach. The team gasps and Meg'ann asks "What happened?"  I simply say "Joker happened" and now I feel that they will take the mission more seriously.

Once we reach Gotham we will split into 3 groups. The first group Superboy and Meg'ann as they will be searching from the sky, the second is Wally and I who will be searching on the ground, and the last group is Artemis and Robin who will be  searching from the rooftops to get a better view. We get a mental link set up and agree to meet by the bishops in 2 hours and the three groups go their separate ways.

After what seems like hours (10minutes) me and Wally have searched over half the streets of Gotham and have found nothing. "Are you kidding me we have been out here for only ten minutes." Wally screams into the afternoon sky.

This keeps going every ten minutes until we stumble upon a creepy looking warehouse. Wally and I lock eyes and mentally agree with each other. We split up. Wally goes to do a perimeter sweep while I check along the roof. We go our different ways and start to look.

I find a small hole that looks like it can just fit my size. I debate the idea of going in and decide to, going through the hole and landing on a rafter that seems that it can give out at any moment. I slip into the shadows as I make my way down to the ground.

I think I see a hint of sickly green hair and immediately try to get to Wally on my com. When he does not I start to hear the laugh of a clown phycopath and chills run up my spine. I slowly turn to climb back up the wall , when I am hit with what looks to be a crudely sharpened knife. I start to fall as  I hear "Leaving so soon? The party has just started." I try to scream but he quickly covers my mouth. "We don't want to ruin the surprise now do we?"

He leaves for a moment before coming back with a crowbar, a gun, and chains. As he gets closer I try to get away but he sees my intention and a loud bang goes off and I feel a great pain in my shoulder. I try to scream once again but he quickly slaps a piece of duct tape on my mouth.

"Come on lighten up. We are just having a little fun before the rest of the guest arrive." He slowly chains my arms and legs up and picks up the crowbar.

Wally's pov
I am worried about Lily. She never takes this long to scout so I try to contact her but all I hear is static. I go pale as I hear a manic sounding laugh. I run as fast as I can to the batcave. I quickly run to find Bruce but he is nowhere to be seen. Next I go through the zeta tubes and land in MT Justice and I spin around trying to get my bearings. I hope Bruce is in the debriefing room and I run there.

I open the door and find him siting at the computer typing away. I go up to him and shout "Lily has been captured by the Joker and when I went to contact you, you didn't answer and now she could be injured if not killed."

"The power suddenly had tuned off and we just it it back"he says frustrated "Are you kidding me. Why on earth would the power suddenly go out" "Let's just go to the scene." We head to the batmobile and drive to the warehouse.

Lily's pov

Pain. All I feel is pain. My entire body hurts, mostly my shoulder and the Joker wouldn't stop hitting the crowbar against my body. He has the wickedest grin and throws the crowbar to the side. I smile as I think of my family before my whole world goes black. The last thing I hear is someone calling "don't leave me Lily, family is supposed to stick together."
