Lexer's POV

"Father I will not marry Lexie! She's my twin for godsakes!" I said as I slammed my fist in the table.

"It's tradtition Lexer, you know that well," Father said as calmly as he could although I knew that being stubborn with him with result to him shouting at me and all that.

"Marry Lexer?! Father are you absurd?!" Lexie exclaimed her eyes wide with surprise.

"You never did marry your sister," I mumbled.

Father looked at me pointedly and Lexie gasped at what I just said.

"My sister died at the age of ten, and you know the rest," Father said.

"Look I don't want to marry Lexer father, I only love him as a brother and nothing else," Lexie said her emerald green eyes looking at Father sincerely.

"You don't think I know about your secret affair with David?!" Father bellowed.

Then Lexie's eyes was wide with horror.

David was the one Lexie truly loved.

"Father, please spare him! I beg you to not harm him!" Lexie pleaded and was in tears.

"You think I'm going to let you attach yourself to a disgraceful thieving peasant?!" Father exclaimed.

"What did you do to David?" I asked.

Although Lexie did not want to hear this answer she knew she had to.

"Locked him up in one of the deepest dungeons," Father answered.

"No..." Lexie looked liked she was crazy.

"Please Father spare him," I pleaded while Lexie already walked way.

"I am not letting your sister marry a disgraceful man," Father said.

"Is that why you want us to be married to each other?" I asked.

"I said it's tradtition and yes you could say that," Father said.

Then it hit me.

"Dad I'm willing to make a deal with you," I said.

"Oh and what kind of deal is that?" Father asked.

"Give me a month to find a girl to be my bride," I said not really knowing what I was getting in too.

"It took me a lifetime to find your mother...yet it only took a second to loose her," Father said his eyes was full of sadness.

"What happened to mom was really tragic but we gotta move on that's what mom would want us to do," I said.

"Do you even have a girl in mind?" Father asked.

"No, but I will I promise," I said.

"This deal...I feel like it has strings attached to it," Father said, eyeing me intently.

"Oh yes it has, you have to free David and let Lexie and David have a wedding," I said.

"Son, I know you will fail this bride spotting of yours and if you can't find a bride David will be executed...and it shall be done by your hands," Father said.

I gulped.

"Yes," I said.
