"Taeyong isn't home yet?" Yuta says from the other side.

"Y-Yes. I just.. I didn't mean what I said this morning." Ten says, his voice shaky and husky.

"Alright. Just wait there, sooner or later he might come around." says Yuta, reassuring Ten's anxious self.

Ten decides to spend the rest of his night like he usually does but as soon as he slump down to his bed, he couldn't shut his brain out.

'Did something happened? Where is he? Oh no. Mr. Lee is gonna cut my head off if he knew about this..' and Ten swiftly took his phone by the nightstand. It's already 1:43. He couldn't believe he spend his night thinking. He should be sleeping. Not thinking. In the first place, shouldn't he rejoice since the he is gone? But deep down, Ten feels guilty. Even though he played and manipulated people before, and even though he did worse back then, at least it was reasonable. But Taeyong.. that was out of place. Ten hates him but it was nothing personal. It was all just the position of being a boss to an annoying employee. But another part of him thinks it's fine. It's fine because he started it anyway. It's fine because it means.. he has a lot of advantage taking over the company.

'Ha, that boy. He would come back. He is just doing this for attention.' He convinced himself.

And it took him over.

A week has passed and Taeyong stopped going to the office, and it he hasn't come back to the house since the first day. His job is getting quite difficult to manage in his surprise, even with Jaehyun's help. Surprisingly, he realized half of his work was done by Taeyong and now that he disappeared, Ten is not handling it well. He thought that he already had it. But little did he knew that the main company would be this difficult.

Ten bit his lip in annoyance, thinking that Taeyong would come back around eventually after not having anyone look for him would make him anxious, but it ended up the other way around. Finally, Ten decided to pick his phone to drop a call to Taeyong. Of course, as a boss, he had to save all the numbers of his employees. And his.. was the worst thing to ever be dumped in his contacts.

He pressed the dial button and it ring.

Another ring

and another,

and another,

Beep.

A voice of a woman took the call instead. A voice message.

Ten bit his lip in annoyance. If this is his way of making fun of him, then it is definitely working. He hated this. He hated how he plays him around. 'When will he stop? That mischievous bastard..' Ten took a deep breathe in and out before catching his courage to speak.

"Taeyong. You've been gone for a week. I need you to come back to the office. I-" He paused. He can't say it. But he had to. "I need you."

I need you. The words taste bitter, like ashes in his mouth, god, it's so awful for him. It's like the heaven is punishing him for doing this to him. Finally, he drops the call, only hoping that Taeyong would pick the phone and hear him beg. Because that is what he exactly wanted to happen, for Ten to beg for Taeyong to come back.

Ten clenches his fists, as he fixes his grey tie. He is ready to come back to work.

...

10 o'clock in the morning and he hasn't found any traces of him yet. Did he really decided to quit? Ten thought to himself as he flip another page of the paper of report. Numbers, Words, Numbers, they're all in repeat and all it gave Ten was stress. Maybe stretching for a while would give him a peace of mind. Water. Yes, and water would do.
