Maze(noun): a complicated and confusing system of connected passages.
Glass(noun): a hard usually transparent material.

This were the kind of words almost no one used in the same sentence, except me. I've always been one to use cryptic messages to mess with people, what they didn't know was that I analysed every word that came out of my mouth. A lot of people have mentioned that I like to make walls around myself to keep me from being open, which could have been true, except that I had stopped building walls ages ago, after I had realised that anyone could break a wall, but it took a driven person to solve a maze, especially when you don't even know it's there until you crash face first into it.

Not two years ago had it been since I was building walls, I loved it. I've always been a sucker for mystery. And yes, I know two years is nothing to some people, but for a troubled and scared teenager it's a lifetime.

My maze phase started then. Go ahead and laugh but I learned it all from Minecraft, yes I know, pathetic. You'd be surprised what one can learn from 'factions', the game mode I played. And for those of you who are fortunate enough to not know what that is, it's a game mode where people make factions with their friends. In that game you learn to read people, hide from everyone, keep secrets from others, make friends with the enemies and enemies in the allied factions. And most importantly, how to build bases.

Let me walk you through the basics of building bases. You make a box of the most resistant material there is, then you make walls around them. Of course there's a little more to it than that, but I learned some things from it: Someone always manages to break the walls, someone always breaks into your base, the people you let into your base can betray you the easiest, it's only a matter of time before your walls fall, and one lesson would take me some more years to learn, nothing you make will last forever, unless you let someone else in on it.

A/N:
WELL SHIT, I ACTUALLY UPDATED. Sorry about that, I just got too caught up in my head. And don't worry, the actual chapters will be longer than this. Also, feel free to correct any grammar or spelling mistakes, I would love that (not in a sarcastic way)(k, the only person that actually likes being corrected, lel). AHHHH, okay bye. Feedback is appreciated.
