I waited and I waited and I waited. When was it coming? I silently groaned. I couldn't wait, my family said there essential really anything special about my letter. We all knew it would come. But I needed to see it to believe it. That MY letter was truly and really coming. MY letter. Not Alex's, my older brother, but mine. Today was the day, the day I would get my letter. My parents say I should study the history of Hogwarts and I'll feel less nervous but they don't understand. I'm not nervous, I'm exited.
One two three four five, one two three four five, one two three four five. I kept counting until
"Screech" a giant owl landed outside. I raced outside. I loved our yard, there was so much space! We only planted food though. It was the most logical thing to plant but I secretly longed for flowers. Still my parents let me have a little of the yard to plant them.
I went to grab the letter before I remember to untie it. The owl pecked me in disgust, almost as if to say "you're supposed to be a Ravenclaw! Why aren't you thinking!"
"Sorry" I apologized to it. It could probably understand me I rationalised, owls are very smart.
I ripped open the letter. It smelled so good, it was a family trait to love the smell of parchment. Out house was filled with books. It read
'Dear Mrs Rose Zeller
We would like to inform you that you have been expected at Hogwarts school for Witchcraft and wizardry.'
There was more after that but I didn't bother to read it. I was actually going!
