A Three Year Old's Nightmare

A black dark night lined with an ominous moon

Relaxed from a tiring day as the television blares

Mom and Dad lost in thought, secluded

Taking the leap from room to room

Startled by the presence before me

Florescent porcelain covered in black

Fear surrounds and my heart pounds

Huge and dark the looks of a bear takes him away never to be seen again

Threatened by this bear of a man, to scared to proceed

We must act as dolls and play along with the frightening act before us

Fish stuck in a bowl, trapped with nowhere to go

The hospital bright and white, filled with the death of a man I had just begun to know and understand

Stuck with a ravenous beast, this bear

Nothing has been right since the downfall of that night

It's what fills the mind

The mental abuse of a three year old
