A New Year, A New Start: A KAX Fanfiction

The Fall

I see Kaii skating like it was a piece of cake. He kept looking back at me while I hung onto the rink railing. He laughs at me and skates over.

"You okay?" he giggles.

"Does it look like I'm okay?" I reply with a sassy tone.

"No," he laughs again, "do you want me to help you?"

I pause and blush, "Yeah. . ." I reply softly. He takes my hand and I start to lose my balance. He, then, grabs my waist and holds me up. I gulp.

"Okay, now just hold on to me and I'll lead you," he said calmly.

I put my hands on his shoulders as he slowly started to skate backwards while still holding me. He starts guiding me around the rink slowly at first. I grasp his shoulders tighter to get a better balance. I start falling down half way around the rink. Kaii catches me and holds me in an awkward position.

His hands grab my butt to hold me up. It happened so suddenly; of course he didn't have time to put his hands in an appropriate place. Luckily, my parents weren't watching us. They were paying more attention to Facebook and Candy Crush on their phones.

I blush hard and look up at Kaii. He looks down at me and blushes too, realizing where his hands were placed. He moves his hands quickly to hold me in a more appropriate position. Then, Kaii takes my hand leading me to the railing again.

"S-Sorry," he stutters.

I pause, looking away, "It's okay," I reply.

"No it's not, Max. . ."

"What do you mean?"

"I touched you there. . ."

"Yeah, so? It's honestly fine," I say calmly.

"So. . . If it's okay," he paused, "then that means you must of liked it?" he smirked.

I laughed at him. "Really, Kaii? Really?"

"What?" he laughs back.

"Nothing. . ." I answer.

I see my mom standing by the exit with my dad. She waves to me, signaling to leave. I grab Kaii's arm before he starts skating again. Kaii sees my mom waving to leave and we return our skates.
