I pushed through the door and I ran down the hall into the cafeteria, he was right behind me. I could feel his anger and even hear his rage as he yelled for me. I knew he would not budge away if he got ahold of me. I needed someone, anyone but him.
I looked across the room and saw Maria. She was sitting in the corner of the room on her tablet. She would help me, she would defend me , she wouldn't let anyone hurt me. I ran to the edge of the table. I slammed my hands on the table
Maria! I yelled with tears rolling off my cheeks, she looked up from her tablet terrified. Her eyes widened once she saw my swollen tear soaked eyes. Before she could say anything I was grabbed away. It was him. He gripped my shoulder tightly.
I wanted to talk to you, alone. he roared in my face. His face was full of rage and his teeth were gripped together, making his expression even more horrifying. I don't wanna talk I cried terrified. I looked over at Maria for help but she just kept looking up confused, her expression was almost blank. He moved his hands to my arm and wrist, he squeezed even harder. I said, I wanted to talk to you alone. his grip was so strong the thought actually crossed my mind he was gonna break my arm. I don't want to, please just let me go. I said sheepishly.
I closed my eyes to shield me from his expression. My heart pounded with fear. I just wanted to wake-up from this. I didn't want to be here or be held by him. Fear, anger, anxiety filled me and I couldn't understand what to do. I was shaking from the terror that was holding me, holding me against my will and every inch of my body just wanted to escape.
A warm breeze grazed my cheek and a sweet smell filled the air. Hey, its alright. a soft voice announced in front of me.
I opened my eyes to see a different man. This man had a soothing essence. He had a smile on that calmed me inside. He moved his hand and wiped away the tears on my cheek. I didn't understand who this was, I looked over in search of Maria but she was gone, in fact we were gone. This was no longer the cafeteria but a small room with a fireplace. The room was light colors and smiling picture frames filled the walls. All my senses were being complemented and it was helping me relax, I felt my heart slow down.
I could hear soft music playing in the background but I paid little attention to it. I was more focused on him. The tight grip was gone and replaced with a soft hold around my waste. He pulled me closer and instantly my body filled with warmth. My heart began to speed up again but to a soft tempo. A smile came across my face, but then replaced with a somewhat scared expression as I thought about the other man, the gripped teeth and the horrifying expression sent shivers across my body. You don't have to worry, I'm here now. I looked up at him. My eyes began to water, not with fear or anger but with happiness. This feeling was so alien to me but felt so natural.
I wanted it to last, I couldn't even recognize this man but I trusted him, I knew I was safe, and secure in his arms. I knew he would do the best for me. All of time slowed down and all I could do was look into his eyes. I moved my arms around his back and just held him back.

Dream Sequence
Short StoryEach chapter is a type of dream I have had. It consists of rather falling asleep during class, listening to music, lucid dreaming and the occasional average night sleep.
