Just to let you know, I absolutely failed at writing this chapter so i'm sorry about it. This is so sad because there's a good chance that after this chapter, there will be one left and then Saving Darcy will be over... :( I'm so glad you guys have stuck with this book for so long! After this, I'm moving on to only Niall stories because I can do romantic novels with him. :P

O-O-O-O-O-O
Harry's POV
O-O-O-O-O-O

With every minute that passed I grew more and more anxious. I said no pee breaks through the whole trip to the boys when we first got out of city limits. What I thought would just be a drive across town turned out to be a five hour drive through torrential rain and horrible wind and fog. Two hours into the drive Liam made me pull over and switch him spaces which turned into musical seats when Niall whined that the tight quarters in the back were hurting his knees. We switched and I ended in between Louis and Zayn in the end. I was about to pull my hair out. Anything could happen to Emily at any given moment and I wouldn't be able to do anything about it. I have no control over the outcome of this whole situation.

My phone vibrated in my back pocket but because we're so close together in the back, I didn't even attempt to dig it out and answer it. Liam looked at me through the rear view mirror. "Harry, mate, what if that's her? What if that's Emily?"

With that being said I frantically move around trying fish my phone not caring if Zayn or Louis end up with a beaten face because of it. I finally got to the point where I could see the screen and I missed the call. It was a number that my phone didn't recognize and didn't have a London area code. Just as I was going to redial and call the number back, the caller popped back up on my screen. It was obviously urgent for them to get a hold of me.

I slid my finger across the screen. "Hello?"

"Hello, this is Detective Miller and I am calling in regard to your call I missed earlier in the day. May I ask what your name is?"

"Ah, hi Mindy, this is Harry- Darcy's father." The words tasted weird coming out of my mouth. I don't think I'll ever get used to being called that.

"Oh, yes. Is there a certain reason you called Mr. Styles? I didn't expect you to call me. I'm sorry I missed you call, I was in a meeting."

I wasted no time getting to the point, "Yes, I had a reason. This morning Emily got a message from a number that had a link to destination that we weren't familiar with. She insisted on driving because she believed it was from Steele and she wanted to go get Darcy."

"That's understandable. But Harry, you need to make sure she doesn't go. Not until we check it out. It could be very dangerous."

"There's a problem, however." I continued, "I was able to talk her out of her thoughts, but she tricked me and went anyways. We're on our way there now to try and help her but I'm afraid we won't be enough in case something awful happens."

"How far away is it from the city?"

"We've been on the road for almost five hours and we're almost there." I said.

"Ok, ok. Text me the message Emily got this morning. I'll send a team there but this is going to mainly be on you. Do you have any weapons for protection like a gun?"

"No, we're in a band. We don't own guns."

"Either stop off and buy some or use whatever you find when you get there. Call me when you get there Harry so I can be updated and try to navigate you and your mates."

"OK, I will."

"Hey-" She stopped me before I could hang up, "We'll find them both safe. I promise."

I hung up and ran my hands through my hair. This was so stressful. "Liam, change in plans. We need to make a pit stop."

O-O-O-O-O-O-O

"Hello?"

"Hi Mindy, it's Harry. We just got to the place."

"Ok, good. I have a team in route towards you from a city that's an hour away. It's the closest I could reach out to. I have a satellite view of the building the link leads to. Looks like there's no one surrounding it." She says.

"One of my mates recognized their girlfriend's car parked in front of us so they're definitely here." I said.

"Copy. There's no one guarding the building so I'd say the next step would be to move in. Harry, be careful, just because it looks empty from the outside doesn't mean Steele has men with guns working for him inside."

"Go it. Be silent and I'll put the phone on speaker in my pocket so you can hear things." I did so and followed everyone out of the car. The wide doors to the barn were ajar and we slipped through them with ease.

"Harry, I don't know about this." Liam said.

I raised my hand up to silence him. I wasn't going to have it. "Niall and Louis, you go and see if the girls are around here somewhere. Zayn and Liam, you stay with me."

The farm machinery inside seemed to be stacked up ontop each other all the way to the roof. I followed the pathway to a ladder and I looked up. It reached to a second floor of the barn. I heard talking coming from down the cleared path of the machinery.

"That was a big mistake." A voice growled. A loud whimper was made out of sheer pain. "I'm going to have to punish you for that."

I knew then what was happening and I acted on adrenaline. "Leave her the hell alone." I walked to the base of a ladder that led up to the second floor. A head poked over the edge, "Why don't you just come up here and make me."

I tucked the cheap gun I got from a pawn shop in the back of my jeans and climbed up the ladder with Zayn and Louis following. The sight that awaited me made my fists clench into balls. He was holding Emily off the ground by her hair her once cute, messy bun now falling out because of the force of his grip. Ellie and Kayla cowering behind them scared the same would happen to them.

I acted quickly and reached behind me for the gun and pointed it at the disgusting man's head. I repeated myself in an attempt to be more intimidating. "I said, leave her the hell alone."

"Or what? You'll shoot me? Harry, you and I both know you know how to put make up on for an interview better than you can work that gun. You don't scare me. You're just another pretty boy in a band." My temper was running short with this man. Who does he think he is coming in here and taking control?

"I'll give you one more chance. One more chance to let the three of them go, and we won't hurt you." I attempted to threaten the man. Emily looked at me with fear flooding her brown eyes.

The man looked between Zayn, Louis and I. I was shocked when all he did was laugh in response. "You have nothing on me. You and your little band friends."

He was challenging me. He was tormenting me just by looking dead into my eyes with his cold ones. I wanted to walk over and smack his disgusting brown smile off his face. I rose the gun in the air and fired one shot then returned it back to Steele. Something started to wail behind him and Emily looked back at a crib then looked to me with worry and fear in her eyes.

I looked between her and the crib. She shook her head. "Don't shoot." She mouthed.

Steele threw Emily to the ground and walked back to the wailing baby to comfort her. "Now, what kind of father are you walking into a room with a gun where a sleeping infant was. Someone could have been hurt." Emily laid lifeless of the ground. I looked at Kayla and Ellie. They looked from her face to me and shook their heads. He knocked her out.

In one quick motion I tucked the gun in the back of my jeans and started my way over to Emily. Before I knew it Steele had pulled a gun out from his pants and was now aiming it at my heart. I stopped in my tracks and put my shaking hands up in front of me in the air. "Steele, c'mon man, you don't want to do this."

"You've left me know choice! You're going to ruin everything!" His voice grew hoarse by the yelling of his voice.

I waved my hand to Kayla and Ellie in the direction of Louis and Zayn. They scrambled to their feet and ran to cover behind my mates both clinging to them and to each other out of fear. I looked to Emily only two feet in front of me who was laying lifeless on the ground.

I heard the sound of a chopper flying above us and the sound of a loud crash accompanying it. Before I could look around and gather what was happening, I heard a two gun shots go off and everything was a blur after that.
