Chapter 17

Demi's POV

We are finally out of the extremely cold elevator, and Zayn still hasn't said anything.

"Zayn..." I start, yet he sharply cuts me off.

"it's fine Demi. I don't know what Harry ' s problem is, and Niall is just jealous. Please." he looks at me with begging eyes.

"okay." I respond, and before we know it we are at the studio.

I open the doors, nervous for some reason. I only have to introduce Zayn to one producer. Only one.

I open the door to the recording room, Zayn following. This isn't anything new to him I assume.

"Hey Jerry, this is Zayn"

"Hello, nice to meet you" Zayn says politely and holds his hand out.

He is too darn adorable.

"Hello" Jerry return the handshake.

"One Direction, is it?" Jerry asks.

Zayn nodds, looking down.

"so then this isn't new to you, haha." he jokes.

"nope" Zayn timidly says.

I go and walk into the recording room, getting my headphones on.

I look through the glass to see Zayn wearing headphones as well.

Shit. What if I mess up? Ah no, not right now.

I give him a nervous smile, while he had a smirk on his face.

"okay, a few things we need to do. First off is the big end note of Heart Attack" I hear Jerry's voice through my headphones.

I try to block out Zayn, but I still feel his presence.

~ So I'm putting my defenses up,

cause I don't wanna fall in love,

if I ever did that~

~I think I'd have a HEART ATAAAAAAAAACK

I THINK I'D HAVE A HEART ATTACK~

Zayn ' s POV

Holy shit.

Demi can sing.

I think I'm officially a fan, I grin to myself.

"Great, now we need the first few lines of Neon Lights" I hear Jerry say.

He is a middle aged man, brown hair, with a little stubble. He seems harmless.

"more subtle please" I hear his voice boom through the headphones.

Then I hear singing.

we'll be shooting stars just passing by,

and we'll be burning up like neon lights~

She finishes. Holy Fuck. Why is she so hot? No Zayn, stop thinking that. My mind is playing a battle.

I am knocked out of my thoughts when I hear Jerry

"okay, and now one last thing. towards the end of Nightingale, when you have those three long notes. We will start from 'feel so close'" he says and Demi nods.
