Chapter One

Sherlock walked into the morgue and stood next to Molly at the table. On the table lies the body of Mycroft Holmes. Sherlock stared for A moment then turned away. "You alright?" Molly asked. "Fine. I'm fine." He replied, but Molly could see the tear in his eye trying to force its way out. Probably the first tear he had shed in years.

He turned back to the body and pulled his magnifying glass out of his pocket. He leaned over and started examining his brother. "No signs of struggle", he noted. He took a swab and swabbed the inside of Mycroft's mouth. He walked to a table with test tubes and different chemicals all over. He places the swab in an empty test tube and drops three drops of a light blue coloured chemical into it and swirled it around. "No sign of poison in the mouth" he observed, holding the tube up to the light. "Molly, did the autopsy show anything odd?" "It did show traces of a foreign chemical," Molly said reading off her clipboard, "but we don't know what it is. Doctor Andrews is working on figuring that out." "But how did it enter his bloodstream?" Sherlock mumbled to himself.

He examined the body once more and this time found a tiny puncture in Mycroft's right forearm. "Ah" Sherlock took a step back "A needle." "What's that?" Molly asked. "Go home. Get ready for that date you have tonight." Sherlock said as he grabbed his coat off a hook and rushed out the door.

Molly was taken aback, but quickly recovered. She's used to Sherlock knowing everything she's doing. "Bye Sherlock." She whispered, too late for him to hear. She went about cleaning up and putting Mycroft's body away, all the while thinking of Sherlock. Thinking about the look on his face when he say his brother lying on the table. Thinking about the tear in his eye. Thinking about how she would've loved to kiss his tears away. She quickly pushed the thought aside. Sherlock would never love her. She knew that. But she couldn't help but dream.
