We take off leaving the mess behind us she couldn't look Jess was disgusted in how many people killed by us today she was so upset we get out of our mechs strapping them in we sit on the edge looking down on the the jungle below the other jets covering us flew low then ground to air missiles shooting them down.
We run to strap in when a missile hits the drop ship we get thrown out of the ship we fall quickly then are saved by the vines in the jungle she gets stuck above me I pull my knife and climb the tree and grab the vine holding her I cut it she falls hitting another set of vines knocking her unconscious.
I jump on the vine and cut it grabbing her protecting her from the fall breaking my left arm I pick her up and begin to run in any direction trying to get out to a clear line of sight so we can find our way back to the base all I had was my small pistol not enough to destroy a mech.
We get to a small building not a base but to big to be just a home we walk and get to the front door and knock on the door a hatch opens they stare into my eyes then unlock the door and walk away ignoring us I open the door and walk in stopping when I see mech weapons on the wall he must be a veteran.
"What do you want from me weapons like those assholes on this side of the boarder well what is you want from me?!"
"We just want a way home were with the saviours"
"Ah so you guys changed your names from the black listed"
"Yes sir we just need a way home"
"Fine use the bike out the back"
