Chapter 14

It was today I went to the hangar where I jump into my mech and board the drop ship waiting for the bombing squad to be ready, the drop ship began to take off and the jets flew with speed and then we left for the base we flew over the boarder where we then got to a desert and a circular base we were at least a couple hundred kilometres above the base.

I leapt straight out into the middle of the base causing a shockwave to shatter Windows I was immediately met with 2 mechs I pulled out Excalibur tearing the other mechs apart and the soldiers on the ground then I was met by him the man in his mech the shield on its pilot pod he stood there expecting me to say something.

"Come get me old man I'm fighting for the right side today and it ain't yours"
"I don't care Jason I'm gonna kill you here and now" he replied
I ran straight at him stabbing straight at his chest pinning him to the wall he pulls a shot gun from behind his back shooting Excalibur from my hands.

I pull out a pistol then shot off the hand of his mech he punched me in the ribs revealing a sword of his own I fall to my knees the mech becomes unstable I pull up my arm holding a shot gun where I fire completely destroying the arm of the mech then the pilot pod.

I climbed on top of my mech then I heard Jess through the communications system
"Jason the extract is coming were gonna save you"
"No I gotta complete my mission keep your distance"
"What are going to do Jason"
"What I have to".

I went to the war heads and pulled the trigger on all of them then got in my pod and activated ejection protocol shooting me in the air knocking me unconscious I couldn't feel, see or hear anything I thought I was dead.

I woke up in a med bay beside Jess she stood up immediately and hugged me then backed off blushing and then ran out of the room I finally had what I wanted I got up and went to the command centre
"You did it Jason, you did it you saved us all"
Everything I wanted to do I did thanks to the "saving flame"
