Tone
_________"Aye Tone! Let me talk to you real quick." My boss said.
I sighed and stopped my work and walked inside his office.
"Close the door behind you." He said and that's what I said before taking a seat.
"Wassup boss?" I asked clearing my throat.
"There's some problems." He said.
"Due to to decreased budgeting, were letting some people go. Sorry to say, but we're letting you go." He said.
I sighed and ran my hands down my face and nodded. I got up and made my way out. Fuck this place.
Once I got my shit, I left out and headed back home. Ebony about to be on my ass.
I chuckled. Even though I was the older brother and she was only the middle child, she was the one that kept the house in order. I don't know what we'd do without her.
For 10 years, it's been just my two sisters and I. Our dad was a dead beat and our mom was a crack head. They both abandoned us and and we went back and fourth with "family" that ain't want us.
But 2 years ago, I got my shit together and started working to provide for my sister's and I.
I pulled into the driveway and parked before hopping out and making my way inside. I sat on the couch and looked at the time.
The girls should be here soon, I shivered at the thought of how mad Ebony might be. Last time I pissed her off she shaved my hair off and I had to re grow it.
She might be a handful, but she goes hard for her loved ones though. And that's real.
Speaking of the devil, Ebony walked through the door with Tavi behind her. They were laughing about something before noticing my presence.
"Why you ain't at work." Ebony furrowed her eyebrows.
"I got laid off." I shrugged.
"WHAT! Tone are you fucking stupid? How could you!" She shrieked. I had to hold in my laugh at how over dramatic she is. I don't know why she tripping, she know I hustle on the side and we all know so does she. We bring in lots of money.
"You done?" I asked and she looked at me sideways making me laugh. "Chill I'm playing."
"Look you know we don't even need that job, I already make money. I'll be making more then before with more time on my hands." I licked my lips thinking about all the money I'll be making now.
I only had that job to keep a good example for Ebony and Tavi and for a cover up to my real job.
Ebony sighed and pinged the bridge of her nose. "You know what? Don't nobody got time for this."
She walked away and I laughed. "Always being fucking dramatic."
Tavi laughed with me agreeing.
"You was talking all that shit yesterday and you lost your job the next day." Tavi laughed.
"Akekeke." I mocked her making her laugh harder.
I stood up. "Ima head out to the trap for a while." I told her. She nodded and I walked out. I hopped back in my car and drove there.
I pulled up and did the secret knock before someone opened. I nodded at everyone inside and took a seat on the coach.
"Tone! Wassup my man?" Khalid, a close friend of mine dapped me up.
