Help- The Front Bottoms

It's a music video I'm sorry I couldn't find a lyric video

Alyssa's P.O.V.

I walked out into the warm sunlight. It wasn't noon yet so the heat hadn't hit yet. I walked across the road and bought a cold iced tea.

I walked down the street for a while. I didn't exactly have a destination.

As I walked around my little town, I wondered if that man was telling the truth. What if I could actually figure out who killed my mum? I mean, I'm not a dumb girl. But that wouldn't matter. Murderers are masterminds.

But they all have flaws.

That voice in my head was the last little push I needed. I finished my drink and headed into the direction of my home.

When I got there, cop cars were in front mine and the house opposite of mine. I knew they wouldn't let me in so I had to figure out another plan.

My eyes wandered to the side of my house. A smile spread across my lips.

My bedroom window. It was always unlocked.

I went around the house, making sure not to be seen, and started the climb. I only had to climb a few ledges. It was easy; I have done it about a million times up and down.

As soon as I got to the top I rushed into my closet. Making sure I didn't make a big mess, I dug to the back of my closet until I found what I was looking for.

"Yes," I quietly cheered to myself.

It was a blue, normal sized teddy bear with black eyes. It had a dark blue ribbon around it's neck and my eyes widened as I realised something.

A button was missing.

I heard a noise downstairs and I quickly got up and climbed out the window with the bear gripped tightly in my arms.

I ran to the back of my house and climbed over my fence. I slowed my pace and decided to head to a park nearby.

I sat down on the swings. They were my favourite. I've always liked them. They could be fun but also they are a great place to find peace and tranquility. Every time something happens or I need to think, I go to this park and sit on the swings. This is the quietest park. There aren't many children in the area so it's a nice place for me. It's kind of my favourite park.

I heard a rustling of leaves behind me.

When I turned around, there was a guy standing behind me with a sympathetic smile on his face.

"Jack," I breathed out and got up to hug him.

"How's my babygirl holding up?"

I frowned and looked at the ground and moved some rocks with my feet.

"I know it's tough," my best friend said as he hugged me.

As we unwrapped our arms from around each other, he grabbed both my hands. He looked into my eyes with a sincere look on his face.

"But you will get through this. You always get through things. I know you do," he smiled his charming smile again and this time I returned it.

"See this is why I love you," I laughed. This was the first time I laughed since that night.

"Now how long has it been since you've done that," Jack said, like he was reading my thoughts.

I smiled and shook my head.

I looked back at him and tilted my head up to see him since he was taller than me.

"Now how about you tell me where you have been. I haven't seen you in forever," I said as I crossed my arms over my chest.

He just smiled and held out his hand. I let my hand fall to my sides and looked at his hand like it was a foreign object, then looked back at Jack.

He laughed and grabbed my hand. "It's like you've never seen a hand before."

Jack's P.O.V.

I walked her to my car and opened the passenger door for her, then went to the driver's side and got in.

"Where are we going?" She asked.

"You wanted to know where I've been," I said as if it was super obvious.

I laughed when she looked over at me like she was trying to figure it out.

"You'll never guess it."

As I said that she opened her mouth to say something but, closed it quickly and scowled.

"I wasn't trying to," she mumbled and I just laughed. I know her very well. I knew she was and still is trying to figure out where we are going.

"You need to get your mind off of what is happening right now," I said not looking at her but I knew she was playing with her bracelet. It was a gift from me for her birthday when we first met. Yeah we met on her birthday; I was pretty much a gift sent from heaven or as she says hell. Anyway, she always plays with it when she is really sad, nervous, or any strong emotion.

It wasn't long before we arrived.

I smiled at the familiar surroundings. I had been working on this for the last month of school. I was waiting to finish it for Alyssa's birthday but I think now would be better time for it. It isn't finished yet but maybe she can help.

"Jack!"

I turned to my side seeing that Aly was already standing there.

"Getting lost I your thoughts as always," she rolled her eyes.

She grabbed my hand intertwining her fingers in mine. She looked up at me and smiled.

"Lead the way," she said.

I smirked and took my hand back from hers. She looked at me questioningly but I ignore it and just kept a smirk on my face and then started sprinting.

I turned around a few seconds later and saw her already catching up with a smirk of her own on her face.

She caught up with me just as I saw the opening. I glanced at it and then she noticed it too. She sprinted beside each other for a little. We were about the same when it came to running but it was Alyssa who always won because of her signature-

"Ouch," I laughed as I fell to the ground.

-tackle.

"Why do you always do this?" I asked still laughing as I stayed on my back on the ground.

"You know why," she smirked.

"Cause I always have to win," we said in sync but my voice had a mocking tone to it. She just rolled her eyes and got up.

She was still bending over and brushing her knees when I got up and walked over to her. I poked both sides of her stomach and she flinched and grabbed my hands. She looked up in front of her and I hugged her from behind as she gasped.

"Oh my god," she said staring in amazement.
