I'm Olivia. Well, Olivia Perry. I'm 13 and my best friend is Katie Jacklen. You won't believe me but I'm cursed. The worst things happen to me on the best days. It all started when I was 7 years old. It was Christmas and I was so happy! I got the most beautiful pink dress ever. It was baby pink with a sash and a bow. I wore it all day. I also got royal blue nail polish. I couldn't wait for my mom to paint my nails! When the time came I was so excited that I knocked the nail polish bottle right over. It spilled all over my new pink dress! Ever since that day I've been cursed. I have to be extra careful on the most awesome days. Katie helps me and keeps me away from danger.
I met Katie when I was 11. It was my birthday at the park. I wouldn't go on the rocks because I knew I would get hurt. But she helped me and made sure I didn't. She and I have been best friends ever since.
Today was her birthday and I went to her party. Her party was at her house, it was super fun. It felt good being able to jump around and run and Scream and... Have fun. Since it wasn't an important time in my life, I didn't have bad luck. After the party was over and the guests went home, I spent the night. The next day her mom, my mom, Katie and me went to the barber shop. I wanted Blue highlights. The lady got the color wrong and now I have pink in my hair. Katie got her hair cut to shoulder length. It was so cute. I think the bad luck is just now catching up to me because the lady also burned me with a curling iron. Either it's my bad luck or the lady doing my hair is really bad at her job.
My family is aware of my curse and they all look after me to keep me safe. My mom, dad, little sister, and little brother. My sister Gabby is 4. My brother Tyler is 10. My brother and sister don't have the curse that I have. I don't get it. I hope to one day find someone like me. To know I'm not alone.
