I'm lying down. Well, at least I think I am. It's hard to tell. As I look around, there is nothing but black. Nearly infinite black, a shade of unimaginable darkness. As I think I stand, I notice one, small spot of light. It is far away. Human instincts naturally say: "Go towards the light! The dark is terrible!" And so I do. Boy, was that a mistake.
I'm walking. I don't know if I'm even walking on anything. I'm just going. And it feels as if I'll never reach that miniscule pinprick of light. But, since there's really nothing else to do, I keep walking. Maybe I walked for hours. Days. Weeks, even. I don't know. I can barely feel anything, and there's no way of telling time. So I just walk.
Eventually, I notice that the light has gotten bigger. "Hey," I think to myself. Or maybe I was talking? "That probably means I'm getting closer!" I keep a steady pace, watching as the light slowly but surely grows larger.
A long time later, I reach the source of the light. I am standing directly in front of it. And it is only a little larger than my head. I want to reach out, to feel it. To finally experience the light. It is not illuminating anything, yet it glows so brightly. But once again, human instincts are kicking in. "No! What if this is bad? It could be a trap or something! Be cautious!" But, sadly, I don't listen.
