"Are you not going to help?" Judy sneered as she unbuckled both kits car seats as they slept peacefully from the long car ride back to Zootopia.
"No. I'll meet you upstairs." Nick said bluntly as he opened the front driver side door and stepped out of the car and into the parking lot.
"Nick! No! Get over here and help me! I can't carry both!" Judy huffed as she picked Bruno up carefully not to wake him.
"That's why we have a stroller." Nick held out his paws to the side as he turned back towards Judy.
Nick went upstairs, and Judy eventually got herself and the kits upstairs to their apartment. Somehow.
Judy had changed both into their pajamas, set them in their cribs, and exited the room. Yes, she did know how to handle children, but she hated doing it alone. It was hard enough as it is, and now Nick was acting like Judy straight up said she hated him.
Judy was careful when she entered the kitchen. Being that Nick was in there as well. He was sitting at the counter, he was staring dead in the face of bills upon bills upon bills.
"Nicholas....." Judy said softly, but once Nick looked over at her, she stiffened up, but stood straight up. "Nicholas............We need to talk...." she said with a frown.
"We don't need to talk. We've already screamed." He scoffed. "And besides. If you're leaving me then go ahead and say it. I'll be fine by myself. Since I know you won't let me see the kids because you're afraid of me." He murmured the last part to himself.
"I am not afraid of you." Judy said with a strong voice as she clenched her fists in frustration.
"You should be afraid of me. I could've put you in jail. As a matter of fact, I could put you in jail whenever I feel like it Mr. 'I own an illegal amusement park'" Judy snapped.
Nicks eyes widened and he turned to Judy as he got off of the stool as he stood.
"I should be afraid of you?" He asked.
Judy nodded quickly, her ears sticking up.
"Judith–.....Never mind." Nick stopped himself as he turned away from the bunny.
"Tell me."
"No."
"Tell me! What were you gonna say?!" Judy demanded with a quick to irritated tone, and taking the daring move to stomp down on Nicks tail as he turned.
"I was gonna say that you're just a dumb little bunny who thinks she's so scary because she's a police officer. Well here's a news flash for you. Predators used to EAT prey. So. Do you see the problem here?!" Nick raised his voice as he turned and shoved Judy down on the ground as a reaction from her stepping on his tail.
"And because you all got so scared of us after we evolved. You gave us the collars so your children could go outside and not be afraid of foxes or lions or bears or whatever predator it is! All prey animals are weak cowards! Am I right?" Nick growled lowly as his claws popped out of his hands."Nick. Yo-you—" Judy's ears flattened as she stammered.
"Am I right?!" Nick exclaimed as he got down on his knees and held Judy down onto the ground by her neck. Frustration taking over quickly.
Judy's nose twitched out of fear and she turned her head to the side with her eyes shut tightly, kicking Nick in his chest.
"Nicholas! Stop!" She demanded.
"What's wrong?! Are you afraid of me!" Nick shouted with his voice hitching from anger.
Judy squinted her eyes before they widened. There, between the counter and the other wall. There was two sets of two eyes. And one large set of ears.
