What Are You Trying to Tell Me?

Part 1

9 Years Ago...

"Get down from there Jimin! Your going to get yourself hurt!" Jungkook yells from the bottom of the cherry blossom tree. "I'll be fine!" Jimin yells from the top of the tree. Worryingly Jungkook stands at the bottom of the tree to make sure Jimin doesn't fall. He promised Jimin that he would catch him. "Please don't fall Jiminie!" Jungkook said his voice very shaky. "I won't trust me." Jimin got a few cherry blossoms but as he was about to climb down he lost his balance. "Jeon Jungkook!" Jimin said as he held onto a branch of the tree. He screamed in horror as Jungkook tried to run where Jimin was about to fall but he let go his grip loosening. As he fell he hit the ground with a hard hit falling head first. Passing out Jungkook ran over to him. "J-Jimin?!" He yelled full of worry. Jimin's eyes were shut and Jungkook could see the pain he was in. "Stay here. I'll go get Jin hyung!" Jungkook said running into the house.

There Jungkook was. In the hospital chair seeing Jimin right in front of him in the hospital bed. "Is he going to be alright hyung?" Jungkook asked Jin looking up at him. "I'm sure he'll be fine." He said looking back to Jungkook. A nurse peeked into the room. "Seokjin.. Can I talk to you for a second?" The nurse said as she spotted Jin sitting next to Jungkook. "I'll be back for a second. Okay?" Jungkook nodded as Jin walked out to the hallway to meet the nurse. Jungkook walked over to the hospital bed. "It's okay Jimin. You'll be okay." Jungkook said grabbing Jimin's hand weeping softly.

Jin stood outside the hospital room. "Apparently Jimin has fell into a coma, but he will wake up in a few days..." The nurse told Jin putting her hand on his shoulder. "I understand." Jin said looking down. "We'll take good care of him." The nurse told Jin when she gave him a hug and pat his back. "Thank you so much nurse." Jin said as he walked back into the room to see Jungkook by Jimin's side.

Jungkook looked up from Jimin to see Jin walk back into the room. "Come on Jungkook. Let's go home it's getting pretty late and it's been a long day." Jungkook looked back at Jimin as he slept. "B-But what about Jimin?" He said within a sniffle. "They said they'll take good care of him." Jin said trying to maintain a calm smile. "Okay." Jungkook said staying calm. "I'll be back to see you again one day. I promise you Jimin..." Jungkook said as he removed the necklace he wore and put it around Jimin's neck.

About 3 days later the hospital called to tell Jin that Jimin was doing fine and he was good to go home. As Jungkook and Jin made it to the hospital they walked to the room that Jimin was in. The nurse stood outside of Jimin's room as she waited for their arrival. "You're here." She said happily full of hope. The nurses smile slowly faded when she mentioned something that could be life changing to Jungkook. "Before you go inside... Jimin may not be the same he was before the whole incident..." The nurse said as Jin nodded his head slowly and turned the doorknob. Jimin sat on the bed and looked outside the window. Once Jungkook walked into the room Jimin looked at him not knowing who he was. "Jimin!" Jungkook said with a bright and happy smile. "Jimin..." Jimin said with an unreadable expression. "Let's go home you too. We have a bit of explaining to do with the others." Jin said as Jungkook and Jimin followed him out of the hospital. "Jimin..." Jimin repeated slowly. "Jimin is everything okay?" Jungkook said facing Jimin with a face full of hope. Jimin didn't nod or shake his head. Not even a simple response...

Once they were finally home Jin took Jimin's hand and walked with him. "Hey Jungkook. Why don't you play with Taehyung?" He suggested as he walked into Yoongi's room with Jimin. "O-Okay." Jungkook said as he walked upstairs to Taehyung's room. As Jin walked into Yoongis' room Yoongi saw him with Jimin and sat up on his bed from being on his phone laying down. "So... How did it go?" Yoongi asked Jin as he stood up. Jin sat in a chair across the room from Yoongi's bed. He sat Jimin in his lap and looked up to Yoongi. "Jimin lost his memory." Jimin sat in confusion and had no idea what the two were talking about. Instead he just sat and listened. "How do you know?" Yoongi asked Jin as he looked at Jimin. He looked normally fine but he had forgotten a lot. "When Jungkook ran up to greet him Jimin just repeated his name as if he didn't know who Jungkook was." Yoongi sighed frustrated. He felt emotionless... "What are we going to do..?" Yoongi asked looking towards Jin. "We're going to have to have him live with Hoseok and Namjoon. He'll probably need to switch schools.. Jimin won't be able to catch up with the class he's in right now." Jin said as Yoongi nodded. "You have a point..." He agreed as he ruffled his hair into place. "Who's going to break the news to Jungkook?" Yoongi asked as he thought about how Jungkook will feel with Yoongi gone. "I'll make sure to tell him at the right moment." Jin said as he played with Jimin's hair..

While Jin and Jungkook watched a movie in the living room, Jin turned the volume down and Jungkook looked up to him. "Everything okay hyung?" Jungkook asked looking up to Jin. "Jimin's going to be switching schools Jungkook.." Jungkook looked down feeling a bit down knowing that he wouldn't be seeing Jimin. "When will I get to see him again?" Jungkook asked as he looked up with his puppy dog eyes. "It may be a while." Jin said as Jungkook lost hope. "It's going to be alright. He'll be living with Hoseok and Namjoon for a while. So he'll be back." Jin said without a doubt...
