Jakob sat at his desk, fiddling with a pencil as he tried to think of the next line for his lyrics. He had been stuck since lunchtime earlier. The thoughts that had been racing through his mind just vanished after the events that had occurred. Realizing he wasn't getting anywhere, Jakob tossed his pencil aside and exhaled deeply. As he closed his eyes and ran a hand through his black spiked hair, he heard footsteps grow louder and. louder. He peaked on eye open and smiled at the sight of the brown haired boy that stood before him.
Josh smirked and crossed his arms as he looked down at Jakob. "Stuck?"
"Sadly." Jakob replied as he leaned back in his desk.
Josh took the desk in front of the other boys and turned it around. He sat down and took the paper. After a few minutes he snagged the stray pencil and scrawled down a few lines of lyrics. After he had finished he handed it to Jakob and smiled. "There, that good?"
Jakob rolled his eyes, "I'm sure it's fine man, not like lyrics are that hard to come up with." Jakob looked over the fresh graphite that seemed to be elegantly wrote. "Damn, nice job Dutcher. Could write a few songs if you had the heart for it." The raven haired boy replied with a smile.
Josh rolled his eyes, "Nah that's your thing man, I'm just here for moral support."
"Right." Jakob said as he folded the paper and shoved it into his pocket. "So hows your day been going?"
"Eh, could be better could be worse. I don't have any complaints." Josh said as he leaned back in the desk. "What about you man? What happened between you and Isabelle at lunch?"
Jakob rolled his eyes, dreading the question he knew would come. "We had an argument because shes mad im going to the same party Max is going to."
Josh raised a brow, then scoffed. "They broke up a while back. Like, a long ass time ago actually. You guys have been dating SINCE they broke up."
"That's not the point I guess." Jakob said as he took his phone out to check for any texts. A few were from his band mates, and the other two were from his mother. Jakob groaned at the thought of his mother.
"What?" Josh asked as he leaned over the desk to try and see the cracked screen of Jakobs phone.
Jakob pushed him back and chuckled, "Nothing, apparently my mom needs me to run home to take care of the dogs and shit before I go to that party." Jakob explained as he put his phone away and grabbed his bag off the ground. Josh turned and checked the clock in the front of the classroom. Realizing it was almost 3:00, he jumped up and left to grab his bag.
Jakob rolled his eyes and fixed the desk before walking over to the door of the classroom. As per usual there was a group of kids waiting to leave. Then again when wasn't there some random group of kids waiting in front of a door. The bell rang and the idiots in front of Jakob flooded out of the classroom and into the hallway. As Jakob walked he heard the familiar sound of stilettos clicking against the ground.
Isabelle came up behind him and smiled. "So you still gonna go to that party?" She asked in a sweet innocent voice, as if she hadn't said what she had earlier.
Jakob groaned and turned to his locker. "Yes Isa." He said as he twisted the knob, and opened the door. He threw his bag in and slammed it shut. "So don't think about yelling at me. AGAIN." The taller boy said before storming off.
Isabelle followed close behind, quickly closing the gap between them. "Why can't we just stay home, or call band practice? I mean you said you were working on a song right?" Jakob kept walking as Isabelle blabbered on. Her hair bouncing off her back as she continued to keep good pace with her much taller boyfriend.
Jakob was about six feet tall, had tan skin, long spiked black hair, and dark circles under his eyes usually from lack of sleep or lack of drugs. As he walked his black leather boots clomped against the tile of the hallway. Everyone seemed to move out of his way entirely when he walked the halls of his school. People always said he was intimidating, but he never thought he was.
Neither did Isabelle, she however was a short 5'2 girl with long black hair and light brown skin. Her face was smooth and she seemed to have beautiful almond shaped eyes.  She started wearing heels when she started dating Jakob. Of course she had no choice since he was so tall, but she just told everyone it was a fashion statement.
Jakob finally stopped walking and Isabelle stopped as well. "Isa stop, fine I wont go to the party. Jesus christ, I'll go to Josh's and do drugs, get drunk. Whatever, just stop overreacting. You broke up with Max like two years ago, get over the fact that he goes to the same school as you." Jakob stormed away. As he got farther away, more people started to cloud Isabelle's sight.
She sighed and walked away, "Fuck me."
"I'd be happy to." Isabelle jumped, then calmed down as she realized it was just Josh. "So... you guys still fighting?"
Isabelle sighed, "I guess so, I mean I get that I broke up with Max. But he's still talkin shit." Isabelle pulled her phone out and typed a quick message before putting it away and quickly walking off. Josh frowned, then shrugged and walked off towards te exit of the school.
