Chapter 6

Fernanda's P.O.V.
I quickly threw my arms around Bruno's neck as soon as he opened the door. I leaned in and smashed his lips against his. He pulled back quickly though. He knew his friends would tease.

"Get a room..." Phil muttered. He walked into the condo, pushing me and Bruno out of the way, and threw the keys on the couch.
"Damn bro. You need to chill." Bruno said as he slowly pulled away from the kiss. Phil walked into the kitchen.
"Easy for you to say, Mr. Lazy-Ass. However, some people want to actually worry about what they're going to do in life. They don't need you dragging them down."
"Excuse me?" Bruno said fiercely. His temper began to flare.
"Excused." Phil responded.
Bruno's fists clenched tightly and he pulled away from my grasp. He began to stomp to Phil.
Before he reached Phil, I quickly grabbed his hand and rushed him in the bathroom.

Once I locked the door, Bruno quickly started talking. "Fern, he deserves to get hurt! He was literally asking for it! Friend or not, I'm not putting up with his attitude!"
"Calm down Bruno! Look, Phil's just upset cause of what happened with Dani and-"
"Just cause his girlfriend broke up with him doesn't mean he's gotta be so rude," Bruno snapped, interrupting me. "Besides, that was like 2 weeks ago! Can't he just forget about her?"
I look at him partly surprised. "Bruno, you know Phil and Dani have been dating for almost 3 years now! Dani was also Phil's first kiss! Do you know hard it is to move from that?"

He shrugged.

"Imagine losing the one you love the most to some other guy just because he's rich? It cuts deep Bruno, it really does." I said.

He gave me a long look. I continued to talk.

"She's the one who dumped Phil so he fell the hardest. He's heartbroken and he doesn't know what to do. Give him some patience. I promise it will get better." I said.

Another long look.

"If you're not going to do it for Phil, can you at least do it for me? I hate it when you're upset." I pleaded.

It was true. When he is upset, I'm upset. When he is mad, I'm mad. Not a good position for either of us.

After a minute of silence, he sighed.
"Okay, I won't punch him. Or hit him. Or hurt him. But I'm only doing it for you," He began,
"I'm also only doing it because I would be acting like that too, if I ever lost you."
I smiled and wrapped my arms around his torso. I leaned in and gave him a peck on his forehead.
"Thanks, babe."
He gave me a sweet smile and couldn't help but notice his dimples. Gosh, he's just so cute I think to myself. I grabbed his hand and walked out of the bathroom. As soon as I walk out, I hear something.

I hear someone cry.
