**This is a real story**
Casey Knight was born on 9~8~99 and died 10~7~13.
Casey Knight was only 14 when she died in a very tragic car accident......
So the story goes.... That Monday that Casey died she was with her so called "best friend" Haley; they didn't go to school that day.... Later that day..... (About 5:00pm) Casey had gotten into a stolen car with a couple other teenagers. Some from TMS (Turner Middle School), others from THS (Turner High School), one was even a mother. All about 14-17 years old!! Anyways they were so called "joy riding" in the stolen car around Argentine, on a winding road. That is VERY dangerous!! At the end of the winding road there are barriers to block off the part of the road that caved in about 2-3 years ago. They obviously didn't know how dangerous that road was because of how fast they were going! The police believe that they lost control trying to avoid the barriers, but ended up running straight into them and flipping the car!! Casey snapped her neck and died on impact! :'( The teenager that I told you is a mom was injured very badly, and was in a coma for quiet a while. Yet Haley and 2-3 others walked out almost perfectly fine!! The man that lives on the winding road had survalience cameras up... When the police questioned him..he told the cops about the cameras... The cops watched the video... Haley and 2 others walked away from the scene in almost perfect condition leaving the 2 girls behind to suffer! The police told the man that Casey had died on impact and that they pulled her out to try and revive her... But it was to late.. She was called home! Casey's mom had called Haley to make sure Casey was with her and that they were ok.... Haley had told Casey's mom a total lie!!! They probably could've saved Casey if Haley had called for help or told Casey's mom the truth!!!
The next day... Usually at TMS the halls are loud and filled with joy and laughter... Not that day. Tuesday it was soo quiet!! All you heard in the halls were footsteps and everybody crying. When I say everybody I mean EVERYBODY!! Teachers and all.. Half the school was gone! It was just unbarrarble! The office was FULL of students wanting to talk to counclers or ANYBODY! Classes at TMS usually have about 25-32 students.. Or more!! Tuesday there was about 10-15 in class if that!!! For a lot of people that was one of the worst days/week of their lives!! They had a candle light for her at Turner Recreation Center... There were about 200 people to show their respect for Casey and her family!! Even teachers that new Casey or have heard of her had showed up! Quiet a few people made posters, poems or just shared memories that they had with Casey. Me and my friend (Sophie) had printed about 10-15 pictures of Casey. We made a HUGE poster for her! I think she would've liked it... My friend had made up a poem while I decorated the poster... When we had gotten there the news was just pulling up... Me and Sophie were interviewed by about 3 different news cast just like many others were.. Then a rumor had started going around that Haley had showed up at Casey's candle light.. A lot of people were pissed when they heard that but they weren't going to start stuff at Casey's candle light!
Wednesday, October 16, 2013 is when Casey's funeral was held... ALOT of students had showed up to pay their respect. Some teachers showed up too. Seeing her in that casket was just unbarring for a lot of people!! She didn't look the same.. They tried to cover up her scars from the car accident but they were too deep to cover up... Casey had a twin at her funeral... (her cousin) A lot of people wanted to believe that it was Casey but they realized they had to come back to reality.. When everybody was sharing their memories with Casey.. A girl had stood up.. She was telling us about her little cousins dream about Casey... Casey told her to tell everybody that she is fine and that she wants her to tell everybody that she loves and misses them!! Till this day people have dreams of Casey talking to them.. And her wanting them to know that she is safe and that she loves them!!
A few weeks later... Casey's family has been raising money to pay off her funeral expences. They did all kinds of things.. They sold t-shirts, hoodies, etc.. But my favorite part was when they had a bike ride for Casey! It was AMAZING!! Bike clubs from all over had joined in on it!! There were over 200 people involved in the bike ride for Casey!!! Going down the streets and highways seeing all the people stop just to watch us pass by was just soo amazing!
Ms. Casey Jo'Lynn Knight always had a smile on her face, even if she wasn't happy. She touched many hearts! <3 She is BEYOND GORGEOUS!! She was caring, kind, loving, and much more!! I wish I got the chance to meet her, talk to her, and to hang out with her... No I did not personally know Casey but that doesn't mean I can't care about someone that put everybody else before themselves. To this day (12-22-13) Casey is missed dearly!
Casey left behind her mother and father, Theresa and Micheal; two sisters, Shyla and Micah; grandparents; her niece; many cousins and friends! We love and miss you baby girl!!! <<33 Fly High! Gone but NEVER forgotten!!! #foreverfourteen
