Heavenly,
Later That Night: (11:30 p.m)
"Don't do that!" I yelled, smacking August in his arms as he hopped up and laughed while I swallowed my drink. "You almost made me choke!"
"No one told ya' ta' look at me!"
"That's not the point!" I said, wiping my mouth.
While he over here mimicking what's being said on this movie, he needs to be trying to watch it.
"I apologize." He said, putting his hand over his chest.
"Oh whatever." I got out of the bed also and turned on the room lamp, trying to make sure I didn't waste any drink in his bed.
"I mean it, I'm sorry fa' almost makin' you choke. But I won't be sorry if you did."
"Suck my middle finger."
When I didn't see any stains or anything, I pulled his cover back, preparing to lay down this time and maybe sleep this time. I yawned a little bit, pulling a pillow on my spot.
"Ya' sleepy?" He asked.
"A little but I can stay up a little longer."
I crawled in under the covers, laying my head on the pillow. August turned the movie down some, and cleaned up all the candy paper we had eaten.
"Do you need help?" I asked.
"I got it, but thank ya'."
I pulled the covers up to my shoulder and unlocked my phone, checking on my social media for the last time. I mean who doesn't check their things before going to bed? Unlocking my phone, I thought I heard a sound from downstairs. When I didn't hear nothing for a minute, I went back to what I was doing, but soon heard it again.
August came out, looking over at me in confusion, and I shrugged my shoulders.
"Were you expecting someone?" I asked.
"Nah." He shook his head. "Were you."
"Nope."
He blew put a breath. "Stay up here."
He left out the room and once I checked my things quickly because of the sleepiness coming pretty quick, and stuck my phone on charger, sitting it on the nightstand beside me. I could hear a little mumbling going on downstairs but I couldn't really understand what they were talking about or who was even down there with August, but they damn sure could have waited until the morning to talk.
I layed back down on the pillow and closing my eyes anticipating on some sleep, until I heard August's foot steps coming up the hallway. From the sound of the way he walked, he seems as a little annoyed if you asked me.
"Hey?" I heard August's calm voice, in the room. I opened my eyes, seeing him halfway in the room. I made eye contact with him,, giving him my full attention.
"I'm goin' out fa' awhile, I'll be back later, okay?"
"Yeah." I nodded, catching myself yawning. I rubbed my eyes hearing him chuckle at me. When I get ready to sleep, I can't help but to act like a baby, especially when I sleep past my normal bed time.
"You gon' be fine while I'm gone right?" He asked, hearing his voice nearer.
"I'm pretty sure." I said, catching myself in a yawn once again. I felt pressure around my body, from him leaning over me.
I felt a light kiss on my cheek. "Sleep tight." He mumbled softly.
"Stay safe." I said and he nodded his head, turning off the lamp, letting in complete darkness. Once his room door was shut, I sighed. I really wanted him to stay tonight, but I'm not going to keep him away from his freedom. I turned over on my side, facing the door and pulling the covers up closer on me. I heard the front door shut letting me know he's officially gone. I sighed and closed my eyes, falling soundly asleep, easily.
