By Thursday Adalynn's sleeping schedule had gotten normal. She confused herself with the times, but her body seemed to understand the difference between night and day. So at 10am on Thursday, Adalynn pushed herself out of bed and started to get ready. She took a quick shower to tame her hair and walked back into her room with a towel around her. Even after spending her entire life with posters she still found herself creeped out by changing in front of them, she felt like they were watching her. Adalynn quickly stripped off the towel and put on a Green Day shirt and skinny jeans before she could allow herself to be scared by the posters. She quickly combed through her hair, scrunched it up with mousse and straightened her bangs before slipping on her shoes and running out to meet Hayley.

It was already noon when Adalynn made her way downstairs, so she could only hope that the  shop was close enough that she wouldn't be late. As soon as she walked out she turned to the right and saw no coffee shop. She started walking to the right, hoping that maybe it was abut farther. Discouraged, she turned back and started to the left. Miraculously, there stood a starbucks. Right next to the apartment building! Adalynn rushed over and opened the door, hoping that Hayley didn't have to wait.  Her hopes were deflated when she realized that Hayley was already there.

"I'm so sorry I'm late" she said, feeling flustered.

"It's only 12:03" She relied with an amused look. Adalynn breathed in relief and Hayley chuckled.

"How may I help you?" The employee asked Adalynn. Hayley and Adalynn were the only people in the store, apart from the cashier and the creepy old man in the corner.

        "Just an ice coffee, please."

Adalynn and Hayley took their drinks and walked to the other side of the restaurant. They sat in awkward silence and Adalynn started to panic, not knowing how to spark conversation. "So, Adalynn. Tell me about yourself."

Adalynn exhaled longer than the average exhale, "Uh. I don't know. Not much to tell. I'm here to study music and psychology. I want to be a music engineer."

Hayley tilted her head, "A music engineer? Like the people who work in the recording studios, right?"

Adalynn nodded and smiled, "Yeah. I'm too shy to perform. So, that should be perfect."

"What does psychology have to do with that?" Hayley asked before taking a sip of her coffee. Adalynn shrugged,"I needed a minor to study, and I've always found psychology interesting."

Hayley nodded with her  bottom lip jutted out, "That's pretty sweet." She paused, "But I meant like, cool stuff. Not school stuff. What's your favorite band? Color? Do you have a boyfriend? Or a girlfriend? Do you have a phobia of clown shoes? Are you secretly married to three different men in three different countries with 17 children?"

Adalynn laughed, color rising to her cheeks in a slight blush, "I don't have a favorite band, my favorite color is gray, I don't have a boyfriend or a girlfriend, and no to the last two." She said quickly. "And you?"

"My favorite band is We The Kings, my favorite color is blue, I have neither a girlfriend nor a boyfriend, no I do not have a phobia of clown shoes and yes." Adalynn stared at her  for a while before bursting out laughing. "What?" Hayley asked, tilting her head.

"Nothing, nothing." Adalynn said, laughing. Hayley was confused as to why she was laughing. But Adalynn's laugh was contagious, so she laughed in return.

"Okay. So why is your favorite color gray? That is like, a weird favorite color."

"Well, once I heard that black is bad and white is good. So gray is a mix of black and white, a mix of good and bad. Just like people are a mix of good and bad....And...it's pretty."

Hayley shook her head, "That's deep, bro.  I just like blue because it's blue, ya know? It's all like, bluuueeeee." Adalynn laughed and Hayley laughed at her laugh, "Anyway, how  do you not have a favorite band? I mean like, you had all that band stuff all over your walls. And you like, study music."

"Cuz I can't choose a band to have as my 'favorite.' No bands would represent my entire music taste. I could easily be like, 'Oh yes sir, One Direction is my favorite band.' But then, you would think that I only like things like One Direction, and you would never know that I like things like Falling In Reverse. Or like, John Lennon." When she finished speaking, Adalynn was expecting Hayley to say something about how that was 'something a psychology student would say.' But she didn't.

Her eyes were sparkling brightly as she spoke, "You're a directioner?" Adalynn nodded. "Oh, this is going to  be the start of a  beautiful friendship." Hayley smirked.

"Look there's another girl in there." Niall said, suddenly getting excited  from the computer chair. "I wonder what they're gonna dooooooo." He said, wiggling his eyebrows at Lou. Louis rolled his eyes and sat down on the floor. He crossed his arms and glared at the screen. "You're no fun." Niall said to Louis, but he ignored him.

"So...this is my room. Wooo." The girl on the screen said. The boys' jaws dropped.

"She's American." Harry said what all the boys were thinking.

"Woahhh. Your room is sexy." The newer girl said.

        "SHE'S not...American" Niall said.

"So, she's an English girl in America or the other one's an American girl in England?" Liam asked, tilting his head. Suddenly the girl with the British accent looked down at her phone.

"Damn it.  I gotta go. My mum wanted me to do something for her. I'll text you, yeah? See ya  later, Adalynn!" She said before running out.

"Bye Hayley..." Adalynn called after her. She would have shown her to the door, but she was already gone. Niall turned around and wiggled his eyebrows at Harry.

        "Adalynnnnnn." Niall said.

Harry rolled his eyes, "Yeah. We're stalking a girl named Adalynn and her friend's name is Hayley. Woopty doo."

Niall tilted his head from side to side, "Don't be an angry beaver. Hayley is pretty fit. So is Adalynn. But Hayley is like" Niall whistled. Harry rolled his eyes again.

"Kay Ni. That's not creepy, at all. I'm going to bed. So you guys can just like, show yourselves out whenever you want." He mumbled, walking out and storming to his room.
