Jacob brushed his brown hair out of his bright blue eyes. He was standing in front of his dad's office window. Jacob South's dad, Johnny South, was the CEO of a huge technology company. He looked out over New York City. He could see the Yankees Stadium, with all those bright lights shining through the cold black night. His dad walked in, "Why can't you wear I suit?" His dad scowled sitting behind the desk in the center of the room.
"What I'm wearing is fine!" Jacob snapped. "Jacob, all your wearing is a blue T-shirt and black basketball shorts!" His dad growled.
This was true through maybe Jacob could have at least tried to look nice. But then again when you get a call at two in the morning saying your mom was in a plane crash a few days before and your mom was killed, it doesn't help. "Dad can we at least try to get along when the cop comes in?" Jacob asked sitting down in the chair opposite his dad's desk.
"Fine, but after this you can go back to that mansion in Massachusetts!" His dad snarled.
"Good with me." Jacob agreed folding his arms.
The phone rang and after a few words the office door opened and a police officer with sandy hair and brown eyes walked in. They both stood and shook hands with the officer. "So Mr.South I just want to now was there anything strange about your wife before the crash?" The officer asked.
"No not that I can think of." His dad replied.
"Please sir we may have evidence that the plane was sabotaged." The officer told him.
"Well there was that she was never around two days before the flight, visiting library's across New York." He replied.
"Is that all?" The officer asked writing the information down on a note pad.
"Well she did come and visit to say goodbye to me before leaving for the trip, and instead of saying see you in two weeks she said, I've always loved you." Jacob chimed in.
"Okay," the officer told him jotting it down.
"Almost like she knew she was going to die." Jacob finished.
"Oh Jacob! Really!" His dad scowled. "I think my son didn't get enough sleep last night." His dad growled.
"I'm going to the conference room." Jacob stood up and left. He entered the empty room and sat in the chair farthest from the door. He took out his phone and was looking at photos of him and his mother. He had a flash back, his mom hugging him and kissing him good night when he was four, his father had came in and did the same thing and they smiled at him as he fell asleep. A deep growl snapped him back into reality. In front of the conference room door, was a huge bear with red eyes and steel gray fur. A man taller then Jacob with black hair and red eyes smirked showing fangs.
Jacob froze with fear. The tall man was wearing clothes like a Viking with a thick white bear hid on his shoulders. He put his phone in his pocket but was to scared to do anything else. The bear growled and the man put a hand out silencing it. "Down Jaws." The man's voice was rough. The bear's name didn't help with how scared Jacob was getting.
"D-don't h-hurt m-me." Jacob stammered. "Why would I do that young man?" The man asked. Jacob was twenty and no one not even his mom had called him a young man.
Jacob realized that the man had chosen the words carefully. That scared him even more. The man started towards him and Jacob pushed the chair back and walked backwards tell he hit the wall. Suddenly the bear cried out in pain and ran to its master. "Dragosh leave the boy alone!" Came a strong voice. Jacob looked past the wounded bear and it's angry master, a old man with long white hair pulled back in a ponytail with a long beard on his face. The old man was wearing a blue robe with light blue trim.
Next to the man was a wolf as big as a horse with white fur and deep blue eyes. The wolf had blood on its left claws. "Why should I?" The man called Dragosh growled.
The old man as quick as lightning opened a portal under the bear and Dragosh and they fell through. The old man closed the portal and walked over with the huge wolf following. "My name is High Master Florian." The old man told him. "And my friend is Rain Runner." Jacob noticed that Rain Runner had a saddle on his back.
"What are you doing here." Jacob asked noting the old mans kindness.
"Follow me." Said the old man. To Jacob's great surprise they went into the janitor's closet!
"Um this is the janitors closet?" Jacob said surprised.
"Not any more." When the old man opened the door it was a completely different place. They were surrounded by a thick forest!
