A year later

Wierd how stories always end with a happy ending , obviously mine perfectly didn’t , walking away from the man i used to trust , used to love , and used to hold , but finding out he slept with my best friend and betrade me. But then I was madly in love and I still am  with the person who was always there and never left , who put me first before himself, this was real afterall.

The air warm as I sat on the field grass watching lewis play with Lily and all I could do was laugh , this was the first time I had ever felt happy , the time where max proposed to me was just  excitement  not what i’m feeling now. He looked over and smiled but stood up and walked over  slowly bending down to face me and put his lips to mine. Sparks flew up inside me and My body still felt lifeless at his touch as I put my hands on his broad chest and pushed him away smirking.

“Your going to get lipstick all over your mouth if you dont control yourself” I joked

“You are so mean! ...fine..but I will get you later for this” he laughed slapping my knee then walked away winking which made me blush , I’m so glad I have him back.

*Maxe’s P.O.V *

My heart fell as I soon spotted Scarlett after hours trying to look for her ,but her back was facing me as a boy aproached and kissed her and suddenly anger rised up inside me , how could she? With my daughter aswell!?  About to go over a hand grabbed my arm roughly and Tasha stood there looking dissapointed.

“I wouldent go over there if I were you , thats her boyfriend lewis..and also you dont want to cause a scene at a park with loads of people do you?” she eyed me suspicously

“No! But thats my daughter he’s with! And I’m the father !” I declaired looking over at scarlett again  obviously I wasent quiet as I hoped because she looked directly at me and just glared turning away , Okay now for sure I knew she wasent bothered to see the sight of me how great, thanks alot to Tasha who forced herself on me not giving me time to answer. I missed her so bad it hurt , it was like I never had her back .

“ I’m going over..” I said quickly walking up but she stood and turned around taking my breath away yet again , her face held sadness.

“ Scarlett , I know its too late but you have to know the truth! Tasha forced herself on me and I did not want that okay she thought different though , she though that I did like it and I did want it but I didn’t I swear !” I pleaded tears streaming down my face

“ Don’t you dare! Not now when my life is just getting better!?”  she hissed

I lowered my head in shame , she was moving on , because I did the wrong thing and she hates me because of it.

“I know, I just thought you’d want the truth , thats all..” I quietly said before walking away slowly  but looking back all I could see was her hugging herself as lewis run up with my daughter in his arms , I was no longer in the picture , she was finally going to forget about me but the thing is I couldent do the same but thats the only option and thats what she would want anyway. So all the words left for me to say were a final goodbye.

*Scarlett’s P.O.V*

Lewis came running up looking worried and held my waist with his free arm

“Are you okay? “ he asked

All I could do was nod , but I looked back and watched max walk away with Tasha out of sight, but lily touched my hand and gave her sweet smile making me turn my attention back to her

“Hey baby” I said stroking her hair

“Daddy” was all she said which hurt me inside , did she really want her daddy back?

“Daddy’s here “ I sighed

“Daddy!!” she cried tears streaming down her little pink cheeks , then it suddenly dawned on me I had to keep Max in the family for Lily, looking at lewis he didn’t even look at me  only stared to the floor. Quickly backing away I run away blindly not knowing where to go , to see if max would still be there , or to see he’s gone far away to live his life with Tasha but coming around a brick wall he stood there lifeless as she hugged him tight which made me feel sorry for him .

“Max” I said breathless

He shoved her off and gave me a pitying look

“your not saying goodbye to me that easily, Lily’s your daughter , you deserve to see her every day” I smiled sadly

He run up wrapping his arms around me and whispered in my ear “ Thankyou so much”  but Tasha kept her eyes fixed on me glaring hard, what was her problem? Before  I could do anything she stuck her middle finger up then strutted away  like the big “ I am “...bitch much??

Me and him went back up to the park and over to lewis who still held lily and who now had a pissed off look  at the sight of max which made a lump stick in my throat.

“Daddy!” she cried happily  , he grabbed her and hugged lily tight

“Baby , I have missed you so much “ he smiled , glancing over at lewis again his face looked sad that my daughter didn’t want him as a father so I reached over and held his hand.

Guess we did have a happy ending afterall max got to see Lily after a full year  and Lewis proposed to me could things get any better , well i would just have to wait....
