The wooden floor creaked beneath my feet as I escaped the lab. No one is there of course, besides the 200 lb police robot blocking my way.
The robot reacted to sounds that were loud enough an intruder would make. I'm no intruder you see, but I don't have the remote that controls this machine. I hold the antidote in one hand and and a briefcase full of herbs in the other. Each step I take becomes louder, I worry if the robot might react to the loud steps I take.
I bravely take a step forward, hoping that the robot would not awake. I take another but no response from it is heard. I walk over to the robot, quietly of course, and check his battery.
"Seriously? I was that worried for nothing,'' I saw that the battery was at zero percent. I must say that this was not good that the security robot was not on, but i was pretty thankful. I exit the building as quick as a mecha and run off into the woods.
Why would I run into the woods you say?
In the woods is a laboratory of my own. I put in the code, not a number code that lets me in but a voice recognition software. It only reacts to my voice and my voice only. There is also a thumb and eye scanner. If a person triggered the wrong password for the voice recognition, they might have a chance of living . . . one in a thousand chance.
I rush inside of my lab and search for a hiding spot for the antidote.
My eyes go to one spot, a spot where no one will think of going.
" Scientist 327 Doctor Cuemins Hews of District 3, You are guilty of stealing an official property of Scientist 198 Doctor Noppin Grant of District 3. Come out of your lab with the antidote."
They have found me.
I hide the antidote and face my fate as I walk out the steel door of my laboratory.
" I do not have it "
With those five words, I embrace my death.
