Shona crept up behind Mackenzie, watching her long, brunette hair swish from side to side. She pounced on her screaming "BOO!" Mackenzie quickly spun around shouting "OMG SHONA I HATE YOU!" Her emerald green eyes scrunched up as she hit Shona in the stomach.
"You know how much I hate surprises." Her cute little button nose flared up as she tried to pull her angriest face. Shona couldn't take her 5'3 friend serious, not with all those cute little freckles scattered across her nose and cheeks. Shona pulled her in for a hug.
"Come on, let's go. We'll be late." Shona dragged her along and got out her phone to text Jordan that they were on their way.
"Oh gosh Shona, I'm scared. I hate meeting new people! You know how shy I am." She moaned as Shona laughed at her.
"Oh Kenzie, it's fine, don't worry so much. They won't hurt you, they're my friends. Plus, I think there's a guy you might like." Shona nudged her lightly and winked, she rolled her eyes dramatically and they laughed together. They walked up to the cafe and Mackenzie stopped.
"I'm nervo-" She stopped her sentence as Tiana and Hannah burst through the door. "SHONAAA!!!" They jumped on top of Shona and hugged her tightly. They glanced over at Mackenzie and frowned.
"Come on let's go inside." Tiana dragged both girls into the cafe and over to everyone else. After Shona had gone around saying Hi and greeting everyone, she looked over at Mackenzie.
"I want you all to meet my friend Mackenzie! I flew her over from Australia, we're on a little U.S tour together." Mackenzie's cheeks blushed lightly "Uh, you can call me Kenzie if you'd like." Everyone introduced themselves and said Hi. Jordan waited until the end to greet her. His hands fidgeting under the table. Shona sat down beside him and giggled.
"Soooooooo, I guess you realised what I meant, you seem to have a keen eye on her hey?" Jordan scoffed and shoved Shona "Oh shut up, no I do not... she's just cute." He grinned as Shona rolled her eyes.
"You can't fool me, mister. HEY KENZIE COME HERE!" Shona waved at Kenzie and beckoned her over to sit with Jordan. As Shona stood up to make room for Kenzie, she grabbed her arm and whispered in her ear. "Help me, don't just leave me! I'm awkward and he's hot... I'm going to fuck it up." Shona giggled and glanced towards Jordan who was nervously seated, waiting. They seemed to hit it off straight away, Kenzie twirling her hair around her freshly manicured hand. Jordan couldn't take his eyes off her. After everyone had eaten and drunk their coffees, Kole suggested everybody go out tonight. Jay and Jad hooted, while Mackenzie and Hannah seemed a bit anxious.
"Hell yeah! That'd be so fun, how about we meet at like, 8?" Shona gave out her number to everyone and quickly made a group chat. They all went their separate ways after saying their goodbyes and hugging each other. Shona, Mackenzie and Jordan were left. Jordan gave his number to Kenzie, as Shona waited patiently outside.
"I'll see you later tonight?" Jordan asked quietly. "Yeah, maybe. I'm a little scared." Kenzie shrugged. "I should go though, I'll text you later, Shona's waiting for me." She quickly hugged him then hurried along to meet Shona. Jordan smiled so widely his eyes disappeard. The guy behind the counter, in the now empty cafe, looked at him and smirked.
"You're gonna have fun tonight son!"
