I think my best friend suspects something.
I can tell by the way every time I talk, she leans in closer as if every detail might add to some clue or some theory she might have.
I can tell she knows something isn’t right because- let’s be honest- How can your boyfriend and your best friend always be busy on the same day at the same time?
My best friend thinks her boyfriend is cheating on her.
She tells me all the time. She’s like :
‘Alex, I know something just isn’t right.’
Or she frowns and looks at me with wide eyes and says:
‘I love him. Why would he want another girl?’
And the most famous saying is.:
‘If I find the Slut who is doing my man, I swear I will beat her face in.'
I try to give her nods and hugs and tell her I will beat the Sluts face in too. She believes everything that comes out of my mouth.
Cause, honestly, who doesn’t believe their best friend?
But the hardest thing, the hardest thing to lie about, is when she goes. : ‘Alex, you will always be there for me, right?’
And I have to nod my head like I will always be there. Because what my best friend doesn’t know, is that I’m the slut in this picture.
