First day of dizza - part 2

DAVIDS POV:

as liza was about to leave, I felt a shake, an...earthquake.
I heard panics, and then I heard liza shouting at me:
" DAVID LOOK!!! " she shouted, with watery eyes.
I was so confused, I then looked up, and I saw a big rock about to fall on me.
I ran. fast.
liza grabbed my hand , she was breathing heavily.
" don't walk anywhere, its too dangerous... I don't want you to get hurt " liza said, with watery eyes. she took me under the table of food as it all spilled in front of our eyes.
I hugged her.
" its alright, you're safe with me. " I told liza, as she was in my arms.
" t-thank you.. " she said, with a sob.
everyone was panicking at this point, screams were hard, sobs too.
" EARTHQUAKE!!! " somebody yelled.
liza got more nervous, I felt her heart beating faster and faster.
I held her hand. " don't worry. you're here with me " I said, with a smile.
she grinned. she looked beautiful. her eyes were like diamonds.
" I know we've known each other for a day but..." I admitted.
" huh ? " liza looked up.
" I think I'm falling for you. " I said.
"really? " liza asked.
" yes, you're such an amazing girl, and any guy would love to be with you, and I'm one of those guys. " I said.
she looked down.
" so are we a t-thing now? " liza asked.
" if you wanna be :) " I said with a blush.
she smiled.
" Elizabeth Shaila Koshy, would you like to be my girlfriend? "
she gulped
" u-uh, no. " liza said.
my heart dropped.
the earthquake stopped, and everyone left with watery eyes.
" I'm sorry david. " liza said
she hugged me, and I felt tears coming out of my eyes.
" goodnight ..." I said quietly.
there were so many thoughts when I had my way home , I felt...heartbroken.
I wasn't even dating liza, why am I feeling these emotions?
