Chapter one.

I DIDN'T EXPECT to see him there, but there he was. His raven coloured locks hanging over his wrinkled forehead as he peers down into the pine box, a proud smirk slowly forming as his hazel eyes glow at his work-his masterpiece. I avoid eye contact at all times, for if I even dared to cast a glance upon them I would surely be dragged through the bushes of green and flecks of gold, left bare to see his twisted thoughts taking over his once sane mind.

He shouldn't be here, It's his fault she's gone. I look down into the coffin, her before mangled body now almost nailed to perfection, the shine of her white porcelain skin reflecting the hanging lights above her. The white roses fixed to her auburn hair, "I'm sorry it had to come to this," he murmurs, his mint breath scorching her neck. The scars he inflicted now covered by her favourite red dress, the one she wore to her best friend Rebecca's engagement party.

She looks at peace. Oh how looks can be so deceiving.

It's only just the beginning; the calm before the storm. The hopes of a reckoning fade as I continue to stare, it's too late for her now-her time has ended. But we know just how cruel life can be, so I pray for the act of karma to give him what he deserves for what he's done. The last words she heard were his venomous lies of..."I love you Arabella."

My stomach lurches at the thought of no one finding out it was him. He killed her and he's getting away with it. The task at hand was easy to complete, although it was even easier for him to play the grieving widow who had just lost his wife to a tragic attack. Family and friends offering their condolences as silent tears slip from his cunning eyes, my anger burning brighter and brighter at his act. The one man play has only just begun and he already has his audience under the spell of 'I need sympathy'.

My gaze flickers upwards to meet his, my eyes darken in anger every second that passes by, a frown is present on my face as I seethe, "Why did you kill me?"

And the sad thing is, they won't know, they'll never know.
