The Met Gala

May 12th, 1987

''Tia over here! Look here!''

The cameramen took pictures of Tia Stormer as she got out with her date and good friend of hers Paul. She walked towards the red carpet as she smiled and posed a little for the cameras

"You look beautiful Tia!'' One of the cameramen said. She smiled and waved as her and Paul walked down the red carpet together. "You really look amazing, T" Paul whispered in her ear. Tia smiled as she whispered back "Thank you Paul. You look good too''

Paul smiled at the 24 year old beauty and walked inside of the gala. The theme for this year was a black and white cocktail. Tia wore a beautiful, white, diamond dress that had little diamonds on it. Her hair was curled up and her little petite figure was showing. She can tell that a lot of people were in awe because of what she was wearing

They got into the gala party and was taken to their seats. She looked around the room and smiled. This was the first Met Gala she went to. She would usually watch people go to it on television or while she was wrapping up a photoshoot. This time was a reality for her

"How are you liking it so far?'' Paul asked her. She looked at him and replied "Ii love it, actually. I'd never thought that I would be able to be here. Let alone be invited"

"Why not? You are a model and you're not underage" Paul said with a small chuckle. "They usually invite the big time celebrities, like famous actresses or singers. I'm just a model from Oakland" she replied

Just then, Tia heard a few people gasp and a huge amount of whispering filled the air. She looked the direction people were looking at. A young looking man was standing there with a couple of body guards. He was wearing a white, sparkle jacket with a white shirt beneath it. He also wore black pants with a golden belt. She couldn't believe who she was looking at

"Ah Michael! It's so good to see you have made it tonight!'' the host said as everyone was staring at him. She didn't expect Michael Jackson, one of her idols would show up to the Met Gala party. She thought that he would be resting up or recording songs in his studio. She was very happy that he was able to make it though

Michael spoke to the host for a little while and walked away with his guards. He looked around the party and said "This is really nice, Bill. I like it so far". Bill nodded his head as Michael looked to see Tia sitting next to her date, he supposed. He couldn't take his eyes off the brunette beauty. Her hair was curly and her skin was glowing. He knew Zendaya from the magazines she had posed for

"Michael, isn't that the girl you was looking on the Material Girl magazine?'' Bill whispered in his ear. He nodded his head and replied "It is her. I see that she has a date though. He's pretty lucky''. Bill chuckled and shook his head. "You're not even sure if she's going out with anyone" he said and Michael nodded his head. He looked over at Tia again and had an idea

"I still can't believe that Michael Jackson is here" Tia said as she watch him talk to his body guard. Paul raised his eyebrow and asked "Are you really that excited that Michael is here?''

''Of course I am! He's my idol and you know this, Paul. Who wouldn't be excited to see Michael Jackson or one of their idols?'' she said and smiled. Paul just rolled his eyes, but she pretended to not notice. She looked up to see his body guard walking up to her table

"Ms. Stormer, my boss will like to speak with you" he said. Tia looked up at the man that stood to her and looked at Paul. She didn't want to leave him alone with people that he didn't know personally. He must have read her mind because he said "Go ahead T. I'll be fine here". She nodded her head as she got up from her seat and walked with the body guard. A few seconds later, she was greeted with the most beautiful brown eyes and smile ever

"Tia, I will like you to meet my boss, Michael Jackson. Michael, this is Tia Stormer" the guard said. Michael took Zendaya's hand and kissed it softly, making her blush. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Tia" he said, still smiling. She smiled back and replied "It's an honor to meet you as well"

She took a seat, feeling excited and nervous. She was excited because she was sitting directly at her idols and nervous because she didn't know what to say to him. "You look very lovely tonight, Tia" Michael said to her, making her lose her train of thoughts. "Um, thank you. You look very handsome" she replied. He blushed a little and said "Thank you"

The waiter came to the table and poured water in their glass cups. He took their orders while writing it on a little notepad before walking away. Zendaya looked at Michael as he took a sip of water from his glass. "Can I ask you a question, Michael?'' she asked. "Sure, go ahead" he replied, putting his drink down

"How did you know who I was?" she asked with curiosity. "I've seen you on television on "Dancing With The Stars". I also see you on magazine covers and you look gorgeous on every single one of them. You're an amazing dancer as well" Michael answered with a smile. Tia could feel her face getting red and replied "Well, thank you Michael"

"It's not a problem. What else do you do besides dancing and modeling?'' he said, taking her hand and gently rubbed it with his thumb. "I also sing and act. However, I'm trying to focus on acting because it's pretty difficult to get into the acting world" she said. "Well, I do believe you're better off as an artist" he replied with honesty. She didn't know if she should feel offended about his comment

"What are you saying? I'm not good enough to be an actress?" she asked. "No, I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying if you have a career as an actress, it'll take away time from you being in the recording studios, modeling, or even doing dance moves" Michael said. She nodded her head in understandment and replied "I understand now"

"Speaking of singing, how will you like it if I help you have a promising singing career?" he asked. Tia's eyes widen and felt like she was dreaming

My idol wants to get me a singing career? She said in her mind

"I would love that, but I don't really have any experiences in the studios" she said. "That's totally fine. If you let me, I can help you out with songs and producing. When we return to LA, my guard and driver Bill will pick you up from your house and you can sing to me and Quincy Jones. Then, we can record a couple of song I've been working on lately for my upcoming album" he said. She nodded her head again and said "It's a deal"
