{Jewel's P.O.V.}
Being a 16 year old teenager just had to fall in love. Right?
*Freshman Year*
"Hey.." said a guy behind me. Without thinking I turn around quickly accidentally flipping my hair into his mouth .
"OMG! I'm so sorry! Please forgive me!"
"Nah, it's alright accidents happen."
"What do you mean it's alright?!"
"It's okay. Calm down." he answered grabbing my wrist making me realize that i had been shaking.
"Sorry, I just get really nervous around guys," especially around cute guys like you.
"Uhh thanks?"
"What?"
"You said I was cute."
"OMG! Was i thinking out loud again? (Ed Sheeran pops out of nowhere. Jk jk) Why does this always happen to me especially around cute guys. I don't even know his name and i probably already scared him off. My brain needs to start working properly." i finish off with a big heave of breath.
"How about we start again?"
"Great idea," I say smiling.
"Hi, i'm Nicholas but mostly everyone calls me Nic." he said extending his hand out for a handshake.
He was pretty tall around 5,7 or 5,8 but his good looks said everything from his black hair perfectly styled to the side ina wave to his plump lips back to his not big but not small muscles. He looked mix between a hispanic and an american.
"Ohhh hey, i'm Jewels."
I'm pretty short at 5,5. Im hispanic with both my parents from El Salvador. With my dark to light brown hair and hazel eyes I can pass as cute not exactly smokin' hawt but close enough. I changed schools before freshman year in hope for a new beginning. After introductions we exchanged numbers and he became my cute BFF.
*Sophomore Year*
Nic and I still kinda talk not as much as before because we didn't have any classes together. First day of school the day most dreaded by all students.
Side note:
-Schedule-
1st block- Art
2nd block- English
3rd block- geometry
4th block- spanish
-Lunch schedule-
A lunch- before third block
B lunch (my lunch)- in the middle of third block
C lunch - after third block
My first two classes went by pretty quick. Third block is what i am scared of. Rumor has it that there are alot of freshman in this class. As the teacher,Mrs. Timmons, reads off the attendance sheet, I try to put names and faces together but only to people stick out. Yamileth and Isabel. Yamileth's name was called first but as soon as her name was called the silent tension that was in the air quickly evaporated when a deep voice said, "Yami, but whatever." and with that the tension quickly came back replacing what had left before.
As soon as Isabel's name was called, she raised her hand and politely said, "I prefer Isa." Yami next to her snickered but said nothing.
After the roll call was finished Mrs. Timmons quickly said "Y'all probably don't want to do work on the first day, so socialize quietly." Yami snickered once again but still no words. The classroom quickly went to talking but at a reasonable volume. I quickly put my earbuds in and came on DNA by LIA at a blasting volume. After turning the music, down I texted my only two friends, Nick and Angie. I barely talk to any people from my old school. It has been a year since I have last seen them. Angie is Nick's cousin but my best friend although she is a freshman. Looking up, unsure if the bell had rung, I see Yami and Isa in front of me.
'Jewels! Say something!' "Hey...."
