"'The press came up to me today and I told them we broke up. I said it was a mutual decision so Harry wouldn't seem like a dick and so it wouldn't have seemed like I broke the curly's heart. '" Adalynn read out loud to Harry from her phone a few days later. Harry raised his arms and let out an distracted cheer with his eyes on Adalynn's TV. Adalynn smiled and put her phone down before picking up her laptop and staring at the screen, where she was trying to write a paper. She sighed and stared at the keys, completely blank as to what she was going to write.
"What's your paper on, again?" Harry asked while staring at her, the TV forgotten.
"How disorders are treated in today's society and what that does to reflect humanity." Adalynn mumbled, biting her lip and not looking up from the screen.
"That sounds complicated." Harry said, moving closer to Adalynn. She nodded and started typing again, before pausing and staring at the screen. Harry kissed her cheek and Adalynn smiled.
"Hi." She said, turning to face Harry, whose face was so close that their noses were touching.
"Hey. How are you?"
"I'm spectacular, what about you?"
"Wonderful, because I get to spend time with my girlfriend. But..."
"But?"
"But she's busy and stressed and I wish she would go on a walk with me so we can clear her mind." Harry smiled. Adalynn laughed and turned to her computer, saving the paper before closing the lid and setting it down.
"But you've just broken up with Hayley, don't you think they would be suspicious? I mean...you JUST broke up. It's too soon."
Harry bit his lip and looked away as if he were staring off into space. "They wouldn't be so surprised, they think I'm terrible." He mumbled, sounding almost sad, but he snapped back up. "Anyway, I could wear like a disguise or something?" Adalynn grinned and stood up, pulling Harry with her.
"I know the perfect thing." She called while dragging Harry across the hall to Hayley's flat. She pulled out a key from her pocket and unlocked the door, before leading Harry inside.
"Is this Hayley's apartment? Why do you have her key?" Harry asked as Adalynn continued dragging him to a room in the back of the flat, which turned out to be a huge closet.
"Because she always randomly pops up in my apartment so I told her it was only fair if I had a key to hers. Did you know she's an actress? Like theater and stuff." Adalynn smiled, pulling open drawers and doors full of clothing and wigs and jewelry and shoes.
"Woah."
"Yeah, she doesn't tell anyone though, which I don't understand. Buuuut she has all this stuff that I'm sure she won't mind our using." Adalynn smirked. "Now I think you would be a nice ginger...." She mumbled, looking through the wigs. Harry laughed and joined her search
"She doesn't have any like..man..wigs.." Harry mumbled, looking at a blonde one. He put it on his head. "Eyyy??"
Adalynn laughed, "That'll work."
"Great! Can we go now?"
"Of course not. You still look like Harry Styles, just with a wig though." Harry bit his lip and watched as Adalynn dug through the closet again, this time coming out with a dress.
"No no nonono." He said pointing at the dress. Adalynn just stared at him, waiting for him to give in. Harry sighed, "But girls wear stuff like this. You're living proof!" He said, waving towards his t-shirt and jeans then pointing at Adalynn's similar outfit.
Adalynn nodded and put the dress back into the closet. Harry sighed in relief and sat back down in the chair. "Are we done yet?" Adalynn shook her head and put a box on the table next to Harry, who sat down. She started pulling things out of the box, but Harry couldn't see what was going on until Adalynn approached him again.
"Don't move. Widen your eyes." She said, sitting on Harry's leg so they were at eye level. Harry started to panic when Adalynn held out a mascara brush. With a swift brush she placed mascara on Harry's eyelashes.
"What are you doing?! I didn't agree to this!" Harry complained.
"Nobody will know it's you." Adalynn smiled. "Please just let me finish? I'll make you the prettiest girl in all of London."
Harry sighed "But you're the prettiest girl in all of London." Adalynn just shook her head and continued applying makeup to her boyfriend's face, until he was almost unrecognizable.
"Tadaaaaaaaa" She said, getting off Harry so he could get up.
"Oh my god." Harry mumbled, reaching up to touch his fake hair. Adalynn laughed and started putting the stuff away. "....Does this turn you on?" Harry asked. Adalynn turned around to see Harry with his hands on his waist with his hip cocked to the side. Adalynn burst out laughing, shaking her head and covering her mouth. Harry grinned, "I'll take that as a yes. "
"Kay, let's go then." Adalynn said, still laughing.
"Wait."
"Huh?"
"Don't I need boobs?"
"What? Boobs? You don't need boobs."
"But I'm a girl." Adalynn stared at Harry in silence as he held his hands up at his chest, mimicking boobs.
"You don't need boobs." She said slowly.
"But." Adalynn sighed and chuckled.
"If you really want boobs so bad I have oranges in my apartment." She said.
"Only oranges? Shouldn't I have bigger boobs?"
"Harry!
"Okay oranges are fine!" Adalynn shook her head and walked back to her apartment with Harry followed her. After quickly stuffing the fruit in his shirt, and Adalynn insisting to take a picture, Harry and Adalynn finally made their way outside. They walked around in silence for a little while before harry cleared his throat.
"Can we hold hands?" He asked, extending the one closest to Adalynn. Adalynn smiled and took his hand.
"Of course. Why wouldn't we?"
"Because I'm a girl." Adalynn laughed at Harry's serious tone.
"No, you just look like a girl." Harry nodded and smiled, kissing Adalynn's cheek. The two walked through a park, pointing at the occasional squirrel and laughing for basically no reason. They sat on a bench when Harry patted his chest.
"I don't know how girls don't hold their boobs all the time it's fun."
"Those are oranges."
"Yeah but still!" Harry laughed, Adalynn laughed and rolled her eyes. She looked away for a moment, the yelling of a pedestrian catching her attention. When she turned back to Harry lips were instantly pressed against hers. After her shock went away Adalynn closed her eyes and melted into the kiss. When Harry pulled back he was grinning, the makeup slightly smudged. Adalynn giggled and lay her head on Harry's shoulder. He smiled and wrapped his arm around her waist.
"Adalynn?"
"Hmmm?" Adalynn hummed in response, her eyes closed and her breathing steady.
"I-I um. Never mind." Harry mumbled, looking away. Adalynn sat up and grabbed his hand.
"What is it?" She asked quietly. Harry plucked up the courage to look into her eyes.
"I- I don't know if you...feel the same way...but...I think...that I love you."
