❧ MikaYuu ; A Bet

⠀⠀⠀It was spring; the start of yet another school year. A small group of students一Yuuichirou, Shinoa, Mitsuba, Yoichi, and Kimizuki一walked beneath the cherry blossom trees as its beautiful leaves danced in the air, the town showered in orange fog. Their loud voices practically echoed throughout the empty street. "Everyone: shut up for a moment." Shinoa commanded, the rest of them obeyed like trained dogs.

⠀⠀⠀"Let's make a bet." Mitsuba arched up a brow, "What kind of bet?"

⠀⠀⠀Before the lavender haired girl answered the blonde's question, she flashed them a mischievous smirk which caused them to freeze in apprehension. "First to spot and kiss the new kid wins a hundred yen." And their jaws dropped down to the cemented ground. "What kind of bet is that?" Kimizuki questioned, resting a hand on his hip. The girl being interrogated shrugged without letting the smirk on her face fade away. Yoichi chimed in with disbelief, "I don't believe you, Shinoa. You may be hella rich, but as if you'd actually give one of us a hundred yen." Mitsuba nodded.

⠀⠀⠀"Well then, I guess I'll be keeping the hundred yen to myse一"

⠀⠀⠀"I'll do it."

⠀⠀⠀All heads snapped to Yuuichirou, utterly shocked, aside from Shinoa who only giggled and mumbled: "Oh?" The raven nodded confidently, a proud smirk plastered on his face. "Yep. I'm not a wuss, after all." Shinoa began laughing whilst the others furrowed their brows. "Are you sure about your decision, Yuu-san? No backsies~!" "Of course I am! What's so hard about kissing a girl?"

⠀⠀⠀They fell quiet, Yuuichirou tilted his head to the side in confusion. Was it something he said? In a matter of seconds, the four eyed male cleared his throat in order to break the silence that formed between them. "A girl, huh? And what if the new kid is actually a boy?" Ah, crap.. I'm such an idiot. Yuuichirou hadn't thought this through.

⠀⠀⠀Not wanting to back out just after he claimed he wasn't a wus, he grinned nervously and stuttered "N-No matter! That won't hold me down!" The little she devil cackled, her brows wiggled in a taunting way. "We'll see.. Now, let's all get going." And with that, they all began to walk down the street leading to Seraph High School.

⠀⠀⠀"It's all on you now, Yuu." Mitsuba whispered.

⠀⠀⠀Oh boy, I sure will regret this..

⠀⠀⠀"Oh my God, what's taking so damn long." Whined Yuuichirou, sighing heavily as he rested his chin on his palm. The ceremony's almost starting and yet not a single transferee was spotted inside the classroom, impatience conquered their minds. "Maybe it's just that there's no new student this year.." Mumbled the blonde, followed by a yawn. Shinoa shook her head in disapproval. "Nope, nah; Shinya said there are transferees in each grade level."

⠀⠀⠀Yuuichirou groaned low in his throat, squinting as he looked around the room filled with their previous classmates. "Well, I bet she's going to late in the first fucking day of school." He muttered irritably, trying not to lose his determination. Yoichi coughed, "Yuu-kun, 'she' could be a 'he'." Kimizuki nodded. "...Oh, right."

⠀⠀⠀'Please be a girl, please a girl, please be a girl,' Yuuichirou chanted in his head.

⠀⠀⠀All of a sudden, the sliding door of the classroom was slid open by a foreign student. Shinoa looked at the student with wide eyes before they were lidded and the smug smirk returned to her lips, she tapped on Yuuichirou's shoulder to draw his attention. He looked at the door way and locked gazes with an unfamiliar blond boy, azure eyes stared back to his emerald green ones. From the distance, Yuuichirou examined his appearance; he had a very fair skin tone, fluffy looking blond hair that reached down to his shoulders and he appeared to be a tad taller than the dazed raven. Judging by his looks, Yuuichirou perceived he had a foreign blood running in his veins. The blond smiled and Yuuichirou suddenly found himself staring with his cheeks heated.
