Harry and Adalynn were seated in the car in silence. Although the lack of speak made Adalynn feel warm and comfortable, Harry felt awkward. He cleared his throat a few times, played with the radio and rolled up and down the window a few times before speaking.

"I'm sorry." He said, nodding to the road while he drove. Adalynn looked at him. She was looking out the window, smiling and watching the world whiz by; wondering what each pedestrian was thinking about. Harry's presence in the car didn't stop her from getting deep into thought, it only made her feel content, safe.

"Hmm?" She hummed. Harry tilted his head side to side.

       "About yesterday." He clarified.

"It's fine." Adalynn said in an exasperated tone. Harry wondered what she meant. By "fine" did she mean, she was very angry with him and this would never be forgotten? Or did it mean SHE was fine, but the situation WASN'T? Or did it mean that everything was okay, and she had ready forgiven him. Other than when it came to lying, it was often hard for Harry to read Adalynnn. She showed emotions in a different way. He had only just started to realize that quiet, didn't necessarily mean sad. Adalynn watched his face contort with thought and she smiled.

"By fine," She said, grabbing his free hand, "I mean it's fine. I'm not angry and I want you to stop apologizing." Harry glanced at her to confirm what she was saying, before smiling a little. He squeezed her hand lightly.

"Are you excited?" He changed the subject, now speaking about how they were on their way to meet Harry's mom.

"Nervous."  She mumbled. Her stomach suddenly hurt. She looked back out her widow. What if his mum didn't like her?

"Don't worry. Ill be there." He assured her. Adalynn still looked distressed, so Harry continued. "She's going to love you. I promise."

Adalynn felt the car stop and she turned around. Harry was looking up out the window at a small house, his eyes lighting up with a smile. He turned towards Adalynn, still wearing his goofy grin. She couldn't help but smile in response. Harry reached over and pinched her cheek.

"Ready?" Adalynn nodded to Harry, who immediately jumped up out of the car. Adalynn climbed out on her side clumsily and stumbled over to where Harry was waiting to grab her hand. "It's just my mum. My stepdad's out for today, unfortunately. You'll meet him eventually, though. I'm not worried about it. Gemma's not in, either. My sister...You knew that." His smile didn't falter as he rolled out words. He seemed extremely excited, he was almost bouncing as they made their way to the front door. It made Adalynn giggle.

Harry rapped on the door and looked down to Adalynn. She was smiling, but biting her lip. Harry just smiled at her, before kissing her cheek quickly. He was bouncing on his feet when the door finally opened.

"Harry!" A voice exclaimed, before the woman stepped out. Harry pulled her into a tight hug and kissed her cheek. "I've missed you so much, dear." Adalynn almost giggled at how cute they were.

"I've missed you too, mum." Harry's voice was extremely low in comparison. He released his mother in order to wrap an arm around Adalynn's waist, bringing her stumbling forward. She smiled and dipped her head a little. "This is-"

"Adalynn!  Harry has told me so much about you." Anne exclaimed, hugging her.

"It's nice to meet you." Adalynn said quietly. She hugged back timidly before Harry pulled her back into his side.

"You're just as beautiful as Harry described." She smiled, looking Adalynn up and down. Adalynn's face flushed slightly and Harry coughed.
