The next day Adalynn had to return to work, and Harry had to meet the boys at the recording studio to work on their next album. Knowing that Adalynn was going to miss spending entire days with him, she decided she would just daydream about Harry all day at work.

Hayley and Adalynn walked to Starbucks, making usual conversation- meaning that Hayley was talking and Adalynn was listening. Adalynn was having difficulty paying attention to her words because she couldn't help but notice the abnormal amount of cars on the road. There were way more than usual, and it made Adalynn slightly uneasy.

"Oh god." If Hayley hadn't said that, Adalynn probably wouldn't have noticed the giant crowd inside of her workplace. She probably would've walked right in without even looking up, right into her biggest fear. "Oh- oh god. Jenn told me there were more customers than usual but this-" Adalynn froze in her place, staring at the establishment. It didn't occur to her to run away, but she couldn't move.

"They're here for me." She whispered. Hayley knew she was right, but she didn't want to agree. She didn't know how Adalynn would react.

"If you run away now they probably won't notice." She said, grabbing Adalynn's shoulders from behind. "Lets go." Her voice was grave and down to business. Adalynn shook her head vigorously.

"It's too late it's too late its too late." Was all she could manage, and she was right. A few of the girls in the back of the crowd, nearest to the door were turning around and screaming. A million questions were running through Adalynn's head as the girls rushed up to her. Did they expect Harry to be with her? Did they just want to meet her? Did they just want to attack her? Why were they even there? Why so many people at once?

"C'mon Adalynn if we run you'll be fine." Hayley said warningly. Adalynn just shook her head.

Hayley was obviously not scared of the crowd but of how Adalynn would react. Adalynn felt herself walking into the crowd. They were all screaming something about Harry, some even wanting an autograph. There had to be around 40 girls, but Adalynn felt like the group was endless. "Excuse me. Excuse me. Please let me through. Just let me get to the front. Sorry. Ouch. Sorry. Excuse me. I'm so sorry." She pleaded and apologized, and eventually she got up to the front. When she did, she jumped over the counter to put something in between her and the girls. There seemed to be more still coming, and some of them seemed angry.

"I wonder what the capacity of this place is," Hayley joked, making Adalynn jump. She was so busy staring into the crowd that she had forgotten about her best friend. "Anyone want some coffee?" She yelled, still trying to make Adalynn laugh. A few girls pushed forward and started asking for autographs, then a few more started throwing insults.

"Hayley. Hayley I can't." She whispered. She imagined them pushing down the counter, grabbing at her. Surrounding her. Closing in on her until there was nothing left of her. Just a breathe of her name on their tongues in between insults. She couldn't handle it.

Some of the crowd was arguing amongst themselves - larry vs hardalynn shippers - and others were trying to get closer to Adalynn. She knew she looked ridiculous, frozen there. She should've started signing autographs, calling the police, something. But she just stood, a hand on the latte machine to steady herself.

"I can't. I can't. Hayley I can't." She whispered again, but Hayley didn't hear her. She didn't see Adalynn run behind her and into the break room, and Adalynn wondered if she cared.

Adalynn locked the door behind her and slid against the wall into the corner. She hugged her knees and shakily took out her phone. Her hands were shaking when she dialed the number. In a steady state of mind she would've questioned calling him. She wouldn't have wanted to bother him, but right now she needed him. He was the only person that would be able to calm her down.
