Recap

"Promise you will be back soon?" She asks quietly.

I hug her back "of course...I promise" I say, truly meaning it. I would come back one day.

Esme smiles, letting go of me and turning back to stand next to Carlisle.

"Goodbye" I say, offering Carlisle and Esme a small smile before I turn and run into the forest.

"Goodbye" I hear as I sprint off.

THE NEXT DAY

I rounded the corner as the school came into view.

I had spent most of the night spreading my scent through the forest and walking through water to get rid of it all together. I had to do this because I didn't want them tracking me back my house and making a connection to who I am at school.

I than had got home, had a shower, changed, done a small part of my homework and changed my mind trick back to the school version of me ready to go back today.

I had now walked into the car park and I could see everyone still staring at me, stupid humans.

"Isabella!" I heard Mike yell across the car park to where him and the group I was sitting with at lunch yesterday were standing and talking.

I sighed and headed over.

I could feel the stares of the Cullen's in the back of my head as I walked over. They had obviously heard Mike yell and they were now all starring at me. Great, remind me to thank Mike for that later.

When I had reached the group Angela and Jessica gave me a small smile in welcome and Lauren rolled her eyes and continued to text on her phone.

"Hey Isa-" Mike started to say only to be interrupted be Eric, who had just joined the group.

"Hey, Isabella" he said smiling at me.

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes, "Hello Mike and Eric" I said smiling slightly and then turning around to join in Angela and Jessica's conversation.

As I continued to talk with the girls I could hear Mike and Eric having a small fight about who was allowed to talk to me and who I belonged to. I seriously felt like telling then to shut up, but knew that I couldn't, but I wanted to so bad.

"Hey Isabella, we are going to go to La Push beach tonight, you want to come?" Asked Angela.

"Sure" I replayed without thinking. It would be nice to go to the beach since I don't really get to go thanks to my glittery vampire skin but the cloud cover would protect me tonight so I would be fine. "How are we going to get there?" I asked.

"We are going to take two cars after school. We could pick you up from your house at around 5:00 if you like, or you could meet us there" replied Angela.

"Sounds good...so 5:00.."

"Yep" she said, giving me a small smile which I returned.

"I should be getting off to class before the bell goes" I said, already starting to walk towards the school building.
