[The next day, at the Coffee house]
Monica walked in to see Chandler with company.
"Oh great. It's you again" she thought to herself. Before she got near them, she got a mirror, puffed her hair, retouched her lip, sprayed on some perfume and held a perfectly lovely smile.
Monica: "Hey!"
Barbara: "Oh hi Monica!"
Monica: "Whatcha doin'?"
Barbara: "Just having a cup of coffee."
Chandler: "What else would we be doing?"' (laughs to himself)
Barbara: "I'm gonna be late for work. I'm not leaving without a kiss though."
Chandler: "Then maybe I won't kiss you. So you don't have to leave."
Barbara: "Awwe."
Monica:"Aaahh hah! You guys are too cute!....not"
Chandler: "What's that Mon?"
Monica: "I said you guys we're cute!" he nods in understanding.
Barbara finally gives chandler a peck and took off.
So much for that chippy. Blech!
Monica: "Gunther, can I get an esspresso please? Thanks." "Oh! and a bagel!"
They just sat there awkwardly. It was never like that. Or maybe it was only Monica feeling the tension. Ever since she viewed him as something more than a friend she couldn't act the way she is or say anything right when talking to him. She used to be great with guys but with Chandler, it's just different.
Gunther finally gave her the order and she started eating.
Chandler: "So, what's up? Dating anyone?" he asked out of nowhere
Monica: "Not really."
Chandler: "What?How come?"
Monica: "I really like this guy but he likes someone else so... I can't get in the way of that."
Chandler:"Aw come here." she scooted over to him and he hugged her.
Chandler: "Don't worry. I bet that guy would totally forget about that girl once he gets to know you. I mean, you're attractive, funny, talented. You're a full package!"
Monica giggles "Thanks."
Chandler: "Yeah! Always remember that!" he kissed the top of her head.
Monica: "So... you really like her now huh? Like, for real?"
Chandler: "I'm starting to. I mean, before it was just so I could get over you but now it's getting into something serious."
Monica: "Oh...That's nice.."
Chandler: "Nooo! Don't be sad! Hey, I could set you up on a date with some of the guys at work! They're pretty eligable!" he looked down at her.
Monica: "No thanks." she pulled out of the hug
Chandler: "What's wrong?"
Monica: "I didn't - I-"
Chandler: "What?"
Monica: "Ehh- Just- Don't mind me." his eyebrows furrowed.
They chat for awhile and decide to head back home.
..."How can you hate dogs?!"
Chandler: "I'm not saying I hate them, I'm just saying I'm not that fond of them!"
Monica: "Ah! Whatever. You're weird."
She opened the door to her apartment and went in.
Rachel was lying on the couch watching "Daria".
Monica: "Oh I love that show!"
Joey(comes in): "Daria? Really?" *takes food from the fridge* *goes back to his apartment*
Phoebe then walks in with a knife and notebook in her hand.
Phoebe: "RACH! I I HOW WE CAN OPEN ...it" suddenly realizing Monica was there she ran and Monica ran after her.
Rachel: "DONT LET HER GET IT!"
Phoebe then made her way to Joey and Chandler's apartment, locked the door and hid it.
Monica: "Phoebe! Open up!"
She opened it.
Phoebe: "Oh hey Mon! What are you doing here?"
Monica: (panting and mad) I came to get the notebook back."
Phoebe: "I don't know what you're talking about I thought you had it."
Monica: "PHOEBE!"
Phoebe: "Okay! Okay! Rachel has it!"
Monica: "What do you mean Rachel has it I just so you run off with it!"
Phoebe: "Yeah but what you didn't see is that i passed it off to Rachel."
Monica: "AAAAAARRGHHH!!" she stomps back to her apartment, in defeat, AGAIN.
