In a sort of Pangea-like future, a bus of high schoolers crashes into the Japanese Suicide Forest. The bus driver and a couple of kids are killed by the impact and most of the others are seriously injured. A small few are surprisingly unharmed or only slightly injured. They realize they're stranded at the moment (so they think) and have the least wounded start to explore. One by one, they start to go insane, whether it be by ghosts and a living forest, the fact that there are no established rules or anything else. We find out more about each of their backstories from fear causing a need to talk, bouts of insanity, and dreams. There's obviously a character created to cause chaos, the peacemaker, a leader-like character, and a murderer. These are probably the ones to live longer (except the peacemaker. That one can be used to symbolize the death of innocence in the brains of the characters). The rest of the roles are up to what we decide. In the end, either none or only one of them make it out alive.
Notes:
-Having a large amount of characters would make it nearly to have each one be really adored by the readers. I'd suggest an omnipotent 3rd person pov that mainly focuses on a few people (that doesn't mean the rest aren't important)
-Diverse backstories!!
-We could include some couples because it's more realistic and some people like writing romance, but the story would NOT be focused around it. IF we include it, it would be more of an unimportant side thing. I really don't have a preference on what we do here.
-Especially for the characters that die on impact and/or early on, other character backstories would probably have to include them more often than the ones who survive longest.
